We're playing Oldham, i'm more interested in giving young players and fringe players some game time than I am playing sexy football, that team is more than good enough to beat Oldham.

Scalls stay mainly around Matthew Street and Concert Square. There's hundreds of bars literally.
You may like it up around the Ropewalks area mate.

The Peacock, Heebie Jeebies, Mojo (not Modo) are all decent mate. Literally tons to choose from. Peatcheo and Squiggles are probably more up to date with places than me though

Ha, I was in the Swan the other day. Bit grim.
The recent night-scene hasn't changed that much. There's a new bar just opened next to Largo which is meant to be quite nice, and there's one opening on the top of Bold St, not sure if it's ready yet.
Aloha and Santa's are still cool enough. Leaf does great lager and is fairly pleasant.

Bodega, I've been a couple of times and I really like it. Quite small and can be quiet. But it's a good place to go if you don't want to have a mad one.
