Liverpool v Manchester United - Match Thread

Gollum's post-match interview is interesting because of how he articulates the threat of Liverpool, intimating that we don't always "carve teams open" with, I don't know, beautiful, expressive attacking football.

But it's clear to everyone that we are an almost oppressive, crushing football presence that attacks from set-pieces, counter-attacks, throw ins, short and long balls, close control and possession-based football; there's no weakness, or preferred style of play, just a monstrous, incessant, winning entity.

Scary

I thought there was some bitter sniping. He was basically saying we're like an Allardyce team. We're direct, we don't 'carve teams open'. Bullshit.

Yeah, he's a fucking horrible manc cunt and he's mediocre, but what he said was inadvertently an admission that we can play in every type of game, and adapt, and win.

As evidenced by the table. Fuck, Carra and Keane are going dfor it

I didn’t realize they’re so high up the table.

Before the Rashford injury they still had a shot of making top 4.

LFC corner pundits (Carra and Souness) smashing back doors of united pundits in (Evra and Keane) at present...

When did Roy give anyone a chance, I agree give the man a chance.

Has anyone noticed that Shaq wasn't on the bench? Could this mean that he's leaving? I mean Jones was on the bench.

I think Ox is being under appreciated here. He was fantastic until he subbed off. I thought the midfield three were all immense, contributed their strengths, and as unit had full control of the game.

The game changed when Ox went off. Hopefully, he was just exhausted and the ankle just a bit sore.

I would give them all 9s along with Firmino, VVD and Gomez. Our FBs and wide forwards were unusually poor today.
