Any team news yet?

Today's the day we will claw our way back into the race... for 4th, the title, whatever.....

Hopefully we'll look something like this;

........................Reina......................

Johnson.....Carra....Agger....Aurelio

................Masher....Gerrard...........

Kuyt...........Benayoun.............Riera

.......................Torres......................

COME ON YOU REDS

So Torres is fit??

i couldnt imagine Ngog and Voronin standing up to the rough stuff let alone the height and pace of the Everton defence

If we don't win today I'm not going to post for 2 weeks.

So as you can see I'm hugely confident we will get a result today.

Come on you Redmen!

Yossi with the winner!

Ha I don't fancy Ngog in the derby at all and why no Yossi?

This game is perfect for Rafa to extend his lifeline.

Every player will respond. Even Kuyt will have a good day today.

I'm really looking forward to this, God knows why.

I really hope Purple and Torres play, but I think we'll win anyway; it is the Benitez Way to pull a victory out of the bag when he really needs it and the fans deserve some joy in a dismal season

And beating The Bitters is such fun

You mean the team / defence that has won just once in their last 10 and lost to Hull 3-2 on Wednesday ? Hmmm

YES i said Ngog and Voronin.

I don't even know who is in their defence these, Jagielka's been injured, and Hibbert is, amazingly, even worse than Insua

Yobo? Is he playing?

N'Gog seems to be able to handle himself well enough in the EPL - I just don't think he is good enough, he panics too much.
They don't have big defenders in Germany ? Voronin won't be fazed playing against giants - he's just not good enough full stop.

Distan and Yobo... Both very strong and quick.

It's gonna be tough if this is our team. I have no confidence whatsoever when Lucas, Ngog, Kuyt and Insua all start.

Disagree. Insua is worse at what he does than Lucas. I'd rather Djimi Troare. At least he had a bit of pace, strength and height to go along with his shit positional sense.

You're not. Positional sense, as most people know is a big problem in young players and it will generally be the make or break of a defender, he's a kid and he's got a lot of time to develop, he's been thrown in the deep end this season. The defence itself has been hampered by having two fullbacks who want to attack with neither having the prerogative to tuck in when needed. If they can sort that out (and the stupid fucking setpiece issue) then we're onto something.

--------------Howard-----------
Heitinga--Yobo--Distin---Baines
Bilyaletidinov--Cahill--Rodwell--Fellaini--Pienaar
---------------Saha--------------

That's my guess. The only change to that might be not bringing in Fellaini, and sticking with Yakubu.

I'd be surprised if I'm wrong though to be fair.

he's rubbish mark. was your thoughtful post meant to convince the forum or yourself? 😉

Will be interesting to see how Rodwell does if he starts. All this £20m talk seems absurd (although he does look good)
He's a slimmer, quicker, more daring Huddlestone.

He does look promising.

I read some article - I think they interviewed a coach at Everton - that suggested he'd end up at CB and would be a natural replacement for Ferdinand.

Surprised me a little as my impression is that he'll be an all out midfielder.

Seriously? Weird.

I guess he looks like he reads the game pretty well, but for me that'd be a waste.
