Matip coming on to make what turned out to be a FLAT back five and outnumbered midfield was baffling.
Klopp has structured his side to defend from the front and through midfield since he's been here.
Our best defensive displays have been when we've had a packed, aggressively pressing midfield, cutting out opposition attacks.
Our centre backs are not good enough to soak up pressure, or even basic balls into the box.
We invited exactly that with that substitution. A complete tactical fuck up.
Plus Klavan is wank.

We just dont have enough quality for this system,still. Well without lallana,mane and coutinho anyway, i guess its squad depth thats poor.

Wijnaldum is class, he is possibly my favourite player, his close control and the first touch are just amazing. Motm​

We'll be out of top 4 within a few weeks.
 
Shithouse tactics and shithouse defenders. And how Firmino stayed on the pitch in the second half I'll never know. Does Klopp watch a different fucking game to everyone else.

If Coutinho is sick then fine take him off but why put on another defender? It handed bournemouth the initiative and our 3 centre halves were marking one striker which meant we were overrun in midfield with no effective outlet up front. Also it was obvious that Firmino at least and maybe a couple of others were shattered and were having no influence on the game at that point but we end up having 2 usused subs. Ridiculous. He even failed to put Sturridge on when they equalised.
 
Really obvious that was happening. Maddening we didn't bring on another sub like. Alexander Arnold on to run the wings like a mad bastard or something... Where was Firmino for the last 10?

It's on Klopp. He hasn't improved the defence one bit since he arrived and his in game management is extremely questionable. We handed them the initiative at an important moment in the match.

That's four points lost to bloody Bournemouth.

Yes we can count on that - I think I will just watch for the final result as I do not think we will win either game. Not even a draw for us - just plain simple losses.
 
1 step forward 2 steps back with this liverpool side.

Just when we think we can go on a good run.....we slip on a banana skin we see coming a marathon away.

That's good, who gives a fuck about the 2 points lost as long as Phil has taken his nurofen and feeling better that's all that matters.
 
So god help us if mane doesnt play again this season.

And its not as if we have anymore big games to bounce back from...#SCREWED

yeah lovely bloke and top attitude but his ability to manage games has proven itself to be piss poor, infact our inability to turn up against the bottom half sides must also fall on him , its in danger of becoming a joke.

that said Lallana , mane, Henderson all first teamers and all absent , that's obviously going to have a negative impact on the team and the way it plays.

the recruitment piece needs to bang on point this summer..
 
Said it before, Klopp's in-game management is questionable to the max. Injuries are currently a factor of course but I'm struggling to see how he has improved us at all. He isn't at the races compared to what Conte has done at Chelsea.

The defense is worse since he has taken over.
 
I'm not pinning his draw on Lucas. But I said before kick off, the conservative approach to the team spelt trouble. Going 2-1 up when we had a mistake in us, then switching to back 5 was asking for trouble. As we didn't have a fast outlet ball. The smart change would have been for Moreno on left wing OR Grujic to sit in front of the back 4.
 
I don't know, how do you regulate for Wijnaldum's stupid back pass? Or Klavan's brain fart? That was largely on the players with some truly brainless football at key moments. Klopp's mistake is that on bringing on Matip, he ought to have taken off Klavan who was at his leave 1 worst.
 
Mignolet was at least partially at fault for making the defence nervous in the first few minutes.

Two goals should be enough to win the match at home, but surely klopp knows that a one goal cushion isn't enough with our defence.

As such, making that defensive change when we were so much in the ascendancy was niave at best.
