The same Southampton fan who told me Lovren was made to look good by Jose Fonte and that he'd get found out before he joined us and said that Shaw would be entirely out of his depth prior to moving to United does actually rate Clyne!
I'm inclyned to agree with your mate.

He's like...a young Johnson!

Only saw a shit Lovren in that clip.

Lucas and Skrtel to blame there, not Lovren.

And where does this lad fit into Brodge's fabled 3-5-2?

Doesn't he always go back to 433 at the start of a season - you know, until it doesn't work and ge has to change it again.

He over committed himself and didn't win the ball leaving that big hole for Clyne to run into. The striker was moving left, away from goal why does Lovren see the need to follow him out?

If he doesn't follow him, the striker picks the ball up in the box and turns toward goal. A big no no.

Skrtel needed to shuffle across and cover that gap.

Lucas should firstly screened the ball into the strikers feet. Failing that, he should have picked up Clyne's run.

Actually Lovren (who I don't particularly rate) did well to prevent the CF from turning. He was just beaten by some outstanding skill.

Yep all this is true... however, there's just something about seeing Lovren half-heartedly trot back towards his own goal. For all he knew the ball might have broke back into the penalty area.

Not feeling this one either. Look how many bright sparks left Southampton only to end up getting shown for what they really are outside a shit team. Apart from the guys we signed, Luke Shaw (another FB) has hardly set the PL alight with United, like he did at Southampton the year before. We'll never learn.

Clyne isn't a fat fuck though.

With Johnson on the Declyne, we really need a solid right back and he certainly has looked the part this season.
