Agger must be having a sneaky smile somewhere. Lets just hope he stays fit too.

The media love a good LFC 'crisis' don't they. There's a ridiculous article in the Telegraph about how the lack of results in pre season mirror's the malaise behind the scenes.

isnt a strain good news as opposed to a tear?

Yeah, I thought that too.

I'd imagine that if he missed the start of the season, it'd purely be precautionary to ensure there's no immediate/medium term repercussions of getting him back on the pitch too soon

Yeah, the pundits this morning on the radio all but ruled us out of the title race next season saying we were 'in turmoil'. No explanation as to why this is, other than vague overtures about Alonso going. Oh, & we havent got enough quality strikers do well over the course of a full season. Nevermind the fact we finished 6 points behind Utd with Torres out injured for a third of the season.

I'd sooner they were writing us off than bigging us up. It provides us with additional motivation, and it'll make eventual victory all the sweeter.

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel could miss the start of the Premier League season after suffering an injury in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Thailand.

A scan revealed the 24-year-old has strained his hamstring and he is expected to be out for three weeks.

bad news, but hopfully he won't miss too much of the fisrt part of the season - Agger should be fit with carra.
