So we have never done this, we are not usually a sacking club full of knee jerk reaction without giving a manager a real go.

We are not Newcastle, we do not have two or three managers per year or two.

We should keep Roy until next season where we will see how he goes, have new owners and a new direction.

We will not be relegated or get in top 4 probably. We will probably match last year by getting in Uefa cup.

Roy has not started well, he is struggling. But, Rafa would have struggled with the form of Torres and losing Masher.

Lets not become a mad sacking club along with the soap opera of "put the club legend in charge " ala Shearer,Keegan

Keep calm and wait and see, its going to hurt a bit more yet

wasn't souness sacked mid-season?

anyway, where do you draw the line? what if roy loses the next 5 games? the next 10?

the only consideration should be what's right for the club.

Having persuasive, intellectual heavyweights like Dreamy and Fox on his side can only help Budgie

*giggle*

Hodgson must be given an ultimatum. 4 points against Everton and Blackburn or goodbye.

This is a manager who plays Meireles on the right wing. Thats enough to get fired right there.
And for sticking to Poulsen and Lucas.

We have scored 1 goal in 7 first halves this season in the league. We can't wait til Christmas, we'll be on our way to relegation with that man in charge.

He needs to go.

Which all calls for sack him without any ultimatum. Things doesnt fix itselves if you scrap a 0-0 away against blueshite and beat Fat Sam 1-0 at home?

Roy Evans went in November too
[/quote]

So we've never got rid of a manager mid-season, apart from 2 out of the last 5.

And although obviously noone wanted him to go, strictly speaking Kenny did resign in February!

And Dalglish left us mid-season. It seems we have lost more managers mid-season than summertime in recent years.

Constructive dismissal at best!

Why limit it to recent years? Bill Shankly took over as manager mid season (December)!

so basically ONE manager was sacked midseason.
but that is irrelevent, you don't keep someone for the sake of keeping someone, you keep someone because they are the right person for the job.

Fox, the logic here is pretty questionable. Right now, there's 5 points to 4 place. Come Christmas, it'll be 15-20. We currently have a chance (even if it doesn't feel like it) to haul ourselves up the table.

The key question isn't "have we ever sacked a manager mid season" but "do you have any reason to think things will turn around under Roy?" and the answer to anyone watching us play has to be no.

If Benitez can get THAT team of 2004/5 to win the CL final, a GOOD manager can get this team of players into top 4.

I'd imagine nothing will happen till the ownership thing is resolved after Everton, but Christmas will be WAY too late.

I don't see us going on a winning run under Hodgson, so rather than delay the inevitable we should replace him as soon as we can.

I can't believe he hasn't just resigned already. It's the only decent thing to do.

Btw, what are the other LFC forums saying about Roy? Surely we can't be the only ones

it's the same everywhere, the majority want him out. I'd say it's about 70/30 in favour of people that want him gone.
for the record I'd say it was about 50/50 with regards to people wanting rafa out/in
