Ok fir those not watching, we got dom'ed for 15 mins and they probably should have had a goal, we have since composed ourselves, and Babel ought to have scored.
No one is playing very well.
Lovely move that was from Torres & Babel. Babel is showing again that perhaps he's close to turning the corner from being shit a lot of the time to being shit less of the time.
Disappointed that Pacheco isn't on the bench - great way to give youngsters a shot.
Lucas and Insua have not been too good. Kuyt invisible. Gerrard 'meh'. Nice to have Johnson back though. And no one has really done anything to stand out.

Torres & Babel looking a potentially dynamic partnership.
[/quote]I agree with 50% of that.

Gerrard shoots, goalie punches it away. Johnson floats it back in to Torres who brings out a good save from the goalie. That was better.

Great chance for both players ... We're not really playing that well but we could have easily scored 2 goals already.

Great chance for Torres, but his header was weak. Ngog would have buried that.

Well the usual suspects look a liability. Insua and Lucas! Its amazing just how slow Insua is. He's been caught on the left so many times. His moves forward have been decidedly mixed. At one point I was screaming at the TV not to give him the ball. Babel promptly does - he then beats his man before passing straight to a Lille player. No composure at all.
For someone who plays the holding role it's amazing that Lucas can't tackle.
Kuyt's been anonymous as has Gerrard for the most part. Masher has been fantastic though. Breaking up the play and bringing the ball out nicely. Babel has been involved a lot which is more than can be said for Kuyt. Not much end product.
Also Torres has looked class. Difficult game so far for him but he is plaing nicely and looks danergerous - Ditto for Johnson.
Lille are no mugs but I think we played the better football and created the better chances.
