Lil Luis retires ...

I remember never having a good thing to say about him, even choosing to attribute his volley to the genius of Le Tallec's assist. Looking back I guess I might have been wrong. He was better than Le Tallec, and way better than a vast majority of the players we've had over the last few decades.

Suarez would have loved playing alongside Garcia.

Always a bit of a legend in my eyes, despite his erratic tendencies, he was a dynamite player, always dependable for a big game goal or a goal out of nothing.

YNWA Luis

One of the most brilliant, yet frustrating, players to have won the shirt in recent times ... The memories of 2005 ...

Worth reminding you LTW that you used to argue Yossi Benayoun was better than Luis.

Fucking lord hell.

Overrated. He scored some superb goals but the rest of game meant he was never going to last at LFC.

Shame as he abilty to score a goal out of nothing was sensationally at times.

Having said that, we wouldn't have won big ears without him so for that alone thank you Luis!

You seem to be confusing me lately with a lot of other posters ... I may have said Yossi was more consistent than Luis Garcia (he was), but it was irrelevant considering Garcia had left Liverpool before Yossi played a competitive game for us. Quite a lot of posters - including Modo who ironically laughed - said he (Yossi) should have played more. I stayed out of most Benayoun conversations because regardless of my opinion, I'd be called biased (what can you do, c'est la vie).

That being said - I don't get what was the point of the comment ... It's not like I said the Cowboys could win the Super Bowl ... oh wait! 😉

How old are you Mystic? they were heroes of my teenage years as well.
I suspect he's about your age then. 😛

Haha, I think Macca is right, I'm 26. I started really following Liverpool probably at about the age of 14/15, when I joined KopTalk! I never really connected with Gerards team, but when Rafa came, that was the time I really became a Liverpool fan!

Good times!

Favourite goal has to be the volley against Juve. That game was beautiful because no one expected it to go like that.

Haha yeah I'm 25 thought you would be around my age as Macca said, I followed them during the Roy Evans era my late uncle made sure of it. I'm not sure how old I was I remember the great Newcastle Liverpool game where we won 4-3 so 1996 I think it was so would've been 7-8. Been a love affair ever since! I think bar Gerrard Xabi is the best midfielder I've seen for us, would've loved to have seen the likes of Souness and Tommy Smith live though 🙁.

Tommy Smith was a decent enough midfield player when he started, but it was as a centre-back that he really came into his own - hard as nails, but could also play the ball out nicely from the back.

As for Souey, he was simply the best midfielder we've ever had IMHO - didn't have Stevie G's engine, but had a wider range of passing and, in terms of hardness, would have eaten Stevie for breakfast. Captain of my idea of the All-Time XI without a doubt.

The word you used was 'manors'. The word you needed was 'manners'.

It's a small error and wasn't really worth a bout of points scoring.

As someone who occasionally uses the wrong word (and has it pointed out) I thought I'd try to clarify.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten about that post. But yes, we could be here all day if we're going to bring up my spelling/grammar mistakes. Half of it is my phones fault, half of it is because I'm an illiterate moron!
