but how can transport to anfield be a concern if it isn't to stanley park? whatever plans were in place for the new ground, just use those for an expansion of anfield.

I honestly dunno, that's why I asked. No details were ever released on it (as far as I know), the only thing I ever remember hearing was that they were considering resurrecting/building a rail track dedicated to ferrying people in.
