2.15pm: Back to the High Court: G&H claim the board meeting last Tuesday broke down when they US owners refused to continue "after a conversation with the chairman during the adjournment". They claim that the remaining three directors, Broughton, Purslow and Ayre formed a 'sub committee' which then considered the bids and after discussions with RBS decided to go with NESV.

yet they admit they refused to participate in the meeting. a 'sub-committee' was not formed, it was the remainder, and the majority , of the board present

One thing we have tended to disregard over this is that Broughton, Purslow and Ayres are not thicko's.
Broughton in particular is a very shrewd cookie, he knows Hicks well by now and how desparate he is, and will have known that any deal they accepted would be crawled all over by Tom and George and probably ended up like this, he and the RBS legal people, will have made sure this is tighter than a ducks arse

Sub committee my arse, the meeting was called and 2 decided to leave because they didn't have the majority, it's a shit argument. I just hope it doesn't work.
