It's £37k but looks a nice little pad. Seems to be a social housing scheme selling it

Have a look on right move, anything that is £30k is either a one bedroom, a flat or an auction "guide price"

37k is a steal with 25% Discount?! So what are those T&C? Does it come with vacant possession? Does OOTers qualify?

Oh, for a moment I thought vegetable is a slang for something like the cockney slang for something else.

So he is into big carrots and stuff like that? Better board up the Anfield home at night!

I shagged a cauliflower once ................................ oh no hang on she was a Swede!

Well and truly a fruit basket

I'm seriously interested in that Vlad.

Is it in the area that the council expects to be eventually regenerated?

I would say so Mo.
I think you need to speak to RedShrek for his views .
I am not sure how inclusive the local community is in general .

Do the council actually expect it to happen, or is it more hope than expectation (hence their near-desperation over the years to get us to ground-share)?

Well there are great swathes of early twentieth century reasonable three bedroom terraced houses that have been flattened, so someone has some plans for at least part of it.
It may have come at the wrong time given the belt tightening that is going on, but I would not be surprised if some Euro money was pumped in, in the not too distant future.
As has been said though , I am not sure how much is our responsibility and one would think we would have money chucked at us to to stay in the area rather than pay for the pleasure of doing so as was the original plan

I'd rather buy a house in Kensington, on the roads from Adelaide road up to Jubilee Drive - i.e before you go past the school and it turns into a total boarded up shit hole.

Houses there are still cheap as anything, but now more and more students are realising that you can get some big houses down that way and that particular area I've found to be very decent. Plus Smithdown is getting more and more dangerous apparently.

Rent it out and you'd make a tidy sum in return.

Kirkdale has gone ridiculously cheap these days, i saw a house for sale for £4K!
[/quote]
For good fucking reason. I wouldn't live there for a big clock, it's fucking horrific.

Not anymore, no. Theres a big bizzie movement going on atm to try and do something about it, where it will actually work is another matter, considering its the billionth time theyve tried.

FoxForcey treated us to a night out in Kenny a few years back.

I'll never ever forget it. We walked past a house on fire on the way to some pub, and when we came back out of the pub 2 hours later the house was still on fire, and the Fire Brigade *still* hadn't arrived. Just a bunch of kids throwing stones at the windows.

Some lad threw a pint glass through the massive flatscreen TV in the pub too during the 2 hour stint. Not one person batted an eyelid either.

On the way out of there in a taxi the next morning the cabbie told me that this was actually one of the nicer areas too.

Brilliant.

And another bit from that weekend....

I woke up in Foxy's house on the Sunday morning on some tiny bed with Ross laying next to me.

In the same bed.

When grjt and Vladders advised me not to stay in Kenny for a night, I actually thought their warnings were a tad exaggerated.

They were not.

Which pub was this,Ryan?

Was it The Sheil?

Christ no, the Sheil's wayyyyyy worse. It was the picture house, prob the 'best' establishment in kenny.

Needless to say, I don't live there anymore.

Liverpool FC owners given deadline for new stadium

Liverpool fans hoping for a shiny new stadium could get an answer soon - the club's new owners have been given six months to decide what they want to do.

The council's given New England Sports Ventures (NESV) the deadline to try and speed up plans for a new ground.

A new stadium in Anfield would help to improve the area for the people who live there.

It's not yet known whether new owner John Henry plans to build a brand new stadium or renovate the old one.

The council and NESV met on Sunday to talk about stadium plans. They're due to meet again in November.

American company NESV officially took over Liverpool FC from previous owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett earlier this month.

Hicks and Gillett promised a new stadium when they bought the club in 2007 - but that never happened, to the disappointment of many fans.
