ok, so a close friend of mine has a problem with his landlord, or at least appears to. whenever he needs any repairs or maintenance done to his flat, the landlord organises it through his insurance policy with Homeserve, but is always told not to disclose to the tradesmen that he is the tenant, but just giving access on behalf of the owner/landlord.
would i be right in thinking that this friend's landlord is up to something actually fairly serious? indeed, basically insurance fraud? and would i be right in thinking that the landlord is actually seriously in thrall to this friend because the penalty for such a misdemeanour could be fairly severe?
i think he'd appreciate any advice.
