great strength and great finish .

I do like his passion , he puts alot in . But i'm still not sure if he'll be back in our squad next year . let's see what they have planned for him .

I've watched a fair bit of them this season & if he weren't ours & we were linked I'd be well happy.

He's getting better each game too, can work the channel really well.

Fair enough but I just wonder if it's the extra game time helping him and if he'd be back to square one returning here to sit on the bench.

Anyone got a link to the goal?

I presume we are cheering for Sunderland if we don't want a Europa league place going to the sixth place team, ie. Man U or Everton.
I suppose if you believe that the Europa league is actually a hindrance rather than a help then it is City you will be cheering for

As a Hindrance and it would be great, but that's far too machaevellian , so I vote for romance I want to see Sunderland win

Think the same. Borini needs to be playing and not sat on the bench.

He might come back into the squad next season given that (hopefully - still being cautious) we'll have more games to play, but not sure he'll be as effective as we want him to be.

He seems like a player that thrives on a manager trusting him to play.

Regardless how it ends up for him today, I hope Rodgers is watching and sends him a text congratulating him on his goal and encouraging him to push on. I like his fight and at 22 he still has lots of time ahead of him to learn and room to develop.

He looks the sort who will take in the manager's advice and coaching, and I'm hopeful we'll not give up on him too soon and that he'll come good for us. Henderson is a good example of a player in a similar situation a year ago.

Thats exactly how I see it panning out, we expect the Sunderland Borini but it doesn't happen for him. It's all speculation of course and it'd be great if he comes good, properly nice lad by the looks of it.

Had a free £20 wth Paddy Power so stuck it on sunderland to win 1 - 0. Wish I'd done the Borini scorecast now!!

He's a decent player and his attitude is first class. Unfortunately I don't see him getting enough game time with us to develop. Henderson didn't have the equivalent of the SAS to compete against for a place in the side.

Everytime I see this cringe worthy barclays premier league advert it reminds me of my mate, who's a bluenose, he said "It's a fucking nightmare being an Everton fan, you know that old fella on the barclays advert? He's only 30"

Seems to be a lot of empty seats in sections? Thought this one had sold out. Wonder if it's the prawn sandwich brigade that haven't turned up. Shame if those tickets could have gone to proper fans.

He's been boss for Sunderland for ages, he just needed time to settle which we couldn't give him.

The Sunderland fans love him.

This needs to be read over and over again until others come around too... he's done really well at Sunderland this season and people seem to forget how it takes some players time to settle. I'm looking forward to having him back in the side next year.

We need to send out Aspas next season, not that I think he'll make it, because I don't, but I would at least give him the chance to show us one way or the other unless we get a good fee for him.

What will it take for Pelligrini to stop playing that dunce Demichelis? At any rate I sure hope he is in the starting XI against us at Anfield.

I thought Toure was playing a ball in then rather than going for goal. Am I being a little too cynical?

Poor Sunderland. They were doing so well and now it's pretty much game over.
