With Europa league football next year we would probably be better off in keeping him, if that proves to be true.
take the million, free up the slot in wages and give those wages to someone who will more likely start everyweek

To be fair if I was to say this it would carry more weight than bascombe does these days.
I think getting rid of a good senior player like Kuyt would be a mistake myself, he is a 100%er aswell.
