Studge was fine after the West Ham and has been fine in training since then.

Allen will be out for a couple of weeks with an injured shoulder.

No decision yet on whether or not Benteke will play v Villa but there were some good signs against West Ham.

Same goes for Coutinho. There's a need to ease him back and manage his minutes.

Pleased with younger players. 'It's really hard to get the smile off Stewart's face at the moment'.

Brad Smith has a minor injury.

Caulker available.

Skrtel starting light training.

Yeah, if those three gel they could cause carnage in opposition defences.

That said, it'll be of only so much use if we're still conceding too many.

Oppo score 4 we'll score 5! The front three can fuck about pretending to be Ginola, Asprilla and Beardsley....Sakho, Moreno et al can take dibs on who wants to be Beresford, Barton and Peacock

No Lovren either. We could play Ilori who would clearly have something to prove against Villa.

This would be decent:

------------------Ming-----------------
Clyne----Caulker--Ilori----Moreno
----------------Stewart---------------
--------Henderson--Milner---------
-Firmino---Sturridge---Coutinho-

Is that like an LFC version of those "Where's Wally?" books?

Seriously though, credit where it's due - Lucas played well last time out and would have to be considered.

Either, depending on how the squad goes in training. Not saying I'd deffo pick him BTW (I like the look of your suggested line-up) but he'd be in the mix.

Well he's performed better than most at centre back, so it'd be interesting to see if he can keep it going.

Lucas outperformed all of our CB's bar Skrtel during that West Ham game. Screw it, play him in defence.
Stewart should also start. My new favourite player.

Lucas was surprisingly impressive at CB.

The fact you could hear someone organising from the back made a refreshing change

I really want to see a front 3 of studge, firmino and Coutinho. Have benteke on the bench .
I'd rather see a front four with Lallana on the right and Firmino playing behind Sturridge and two in midfield, but either way, it's an exciting attacking line up for sure.

Yeah but then we'd just get overrun in midfield and leak even more goals.

Diamond time then me thinks....

-------dm-------
Hendo---Milner
-----Coutinho
Studge-Firmino

He might go a bit mad and play

Mignolet
Clyne Lucas Lovren Moreno
Hendo Stewart Can
Lallana Firmino Origi

I think he'll go with:

---------------Mignolet---------------
Clyne---Caulker--Lucas---Smith
----------------Stewart---------------
---------Hendo-----Milner----------
Lallana---------------------Coutinho
----------------Origi-------------------
