So who in your opinion has been Klopp's best buy?
VVD, is touted to be the best defender in the world however club paid a world record fee for him

Ali, what exceptional keeper and one of the best in the world, 2nd highest fee paid for a goal keeper.

Salah, our most important player last season banging in 44 goals for the club. He has this season got 13 goals and 8 assists despite having an injury for a large chunk of the season

Robertson, £8m the club paid for him and thought by many to be the best LB in the country

Shaq, £13m the club paid what a bargain

Yes, has to be Mo. He's scoring at a phenomenal rate. We paid for a really good player, but ended up with a genuinely world class one.

VvD we paid a price for the best CB out there. And he has fulfilled that expectation.

Virgil for me anyway

Never have I seen a single player change a team so dramatically

I was massively against spending that much on him, but so far he's made me look a bigger cunt.

If he leads us to a title (and he will be leading us), then it's a snip

Damn it, should have done a poll. @RedNinja Can you help to add a poll please?

My thoughts exactly.

Robertson. A snip at £8m and best left beck in the league by miles. Deal made even sweeter by the fact that Hull bought Stewart of us for about the same price we paid for Robertson.

Virgil...

We had Mo and Robertson last year.. And they couldn't win games with Ming and that centre back pairing.

Add a sprinkling of Big Virg. And we are a strong unit. Makes Lovren look like the best defender in the world next to him.

For me taking into consideration price etc

1 - VVD
2 - Robertson
3 - Salah
4 - Alisson

All four have been nothing less than sensational.

They have indeed, and for me it's not an easy question to answer as they've all made a big difference. On "value for money" grounds there's a case to be made for Robbo but overall, for the sheer difference he's made throughout the team, my vote goes to Virgil.

You can make a case for all the mentioned guys - but for me it's Alisson. How long did we have to wait for such a keeper....

The player that's been the biggest reason that we look like challenging for the title is Virgil for me. Others have played their part but no contest really.

Best value would be Robbo easily, best player is big Virge, theres some revisionist history now with people saying we knew what we were getting when we signed him. I dont buy that, plenty were saying that was too much to pay, concerns about his fitness etc Hes a fucking monster, best defender Ive ever seen play for us.

VVD - easy;

Some of you are saying it is others based on the fact we got what we paid for with VVD. That is not a reason to NOT make VVD the best signing - I think we all agree that this individual has single - handedly improved our defence - we have bought a real leader for our team to carry us forward for the next 4/5 seasons if anything.

Also - the risk/gamble that Klopp took on investing such a big sum on a single individual is worth something in itself. We have bought a defender that allows us to play an attacking style of football without having to worry about conceding constantly in games. No one else was willing to take such a huge gamble - and there were others who were looking for defenders - no less than Man City who ended up getting Laporte.

Virgil for me. If we lose players to injury I think the worst impact to this side would be...

1. Virgil
2. Alisson
3. Salah

Keep those 3 fit and I think we win it.

It might be a bit too early to call Virgil van Dijk Klopp's best signing, as Robertson has value and appearances on his side and Salah/Mane have appearances and goals over him. He is however ace and my current favorite player.

Its mad that there are so many options, Salah might go on to the be the top player in the WORLD yet I still think the van Dijk signing will be the most important to us.

Robertson is probably my personal favourite. Working class hero!

Depends what way you look at best.

VVD or Salah for what they bring as being extremely important but Robbo for what was paid and what he's become in such a short space of time.

Lol, the immediate impact vvd has made? How about the fucking gazillion goals salah has scored since joining? Isn't that immediate enough for you??
