Too early to say. I'd never heard of Goetze when Klopp gave him a chance.

Ok, but there's no comparison between signing and unheard of player, like Grujic, to a player that everyone has now heard of, like Goetze.
I suppose he means when Klopp first put Goetze into Dortmund's first team as a very young player.

Götze is certainly injured enough for LFC. Unlikely to come back before February. But seriously: could well happen in the summer
He signed in 2013 and at least a 4 year, but I'm guessing 5 year deal. So he probably has two years left. He'd cost a fortune.
Just what we need, more number 10s.
Contract expires in summer 2017. He'd cost loads, but we're happy to spend £32.5 million on Benteke, so why not?

No.10 was where Klopp eventually settled on playing him, but he filled a variety of attacking roles up till then and has for Germany since. Quite a few of us have posted before about the need for an attacker who can play either down the middle or out wide. Goetze would fit those criteria very well if (a) we could get him and (b) he settled into the Prem.
But... That makes no sense...
Also he would fill the void in physio if we sell Sturridge.
He scores at about 1 in 3. That'll do. It is becoming painfully obvious that we need to replace Lallana. He's a skilful player on his day and all, but you can't be part of a front 4 and score practically no goals.
Especially when you have three others like that in the four.
Gotze is good but he is going to cost £30m ish and be injured. I think Klopp wants value for money, and this guy looks to be good going by stats - 17 goals 14 Assists in 45 appearances 2014/2015 season. He is only 18
We need a player who can carry the rest of them. Another Suarez or a Sanchez type player. I don't know if Gotze is that player or who that player should be. It's just wishful thinking on my part.

Goetze doesn't strike me as an LFC type signing, or indeed a Klopp type signing. I reckon we're going for the next Goetze's of the world
I don't know who that Goatse chap is, but if you're looking for a leader type, Reus is definitely one. The only concern with him is injuries. Götze is a talented, but inconsistent #10 with average physique and speed who has been warming the bench in Bayern and is just as much of a money-grabbing cunt as Sterling. He's not what we need at all.
Can we save this until after hes actually signed top class players, we get linked with quality players every single transfer window and mostly they end up going elsewhere, usually over money or proximity to London.
