As someone experienced in martial arts from an early age, I can tell you it's pretty much impossible to garner any meaningful power when using both arms to punch someone in the manner that thug did, as it's impossible to shift enough weight into the direction the punch is going.
How many boxers, kick boxers, or mma fighters have you seen punching with both arms like that? None, cause it's meaningless. A solid jab can do way, way more damage.
