Kevin Doyle

Kevin is a decent striker with a good attitude and work ethic and he seems to thrive on playing and working his socks off, week in week out.
I doubt if he would get that at Liverpool and I would worry his confidence would suffer.
I am not convinced that it is the right move for him or for Liverpool.

He's Irelands best striker, and a better player than his goals record might suggest but I have to agree with Del. He just falls short.

I thought the idea was that we had been overspending on relatively old players with little potential sale value should they not work out, and that we weren't going to be doing that anymore.

It doesnt rule them out, should the decision makers believe that their input to the teams performance could be of enough value to offset the cost/risk.

We have Dirk Kuyt as reserve striker don't we?

I like Doyle and would welcome him but would he be content as backup?

A deal for Sturridge might involve Meireles going the other way - no thanks.
[/quote]Not if we dont agree to that it wont.
