I'm not that bothered about any potential issues over tackling Europe, first and foremost he's shown an understanding of what it takes to do well in the league, though I appreciate we're nowhere near being there 'yet', there's certainly alot to be encouraged about domestically. We don't even know if we'll be in Europe next season, so any problems that there may be with us on the continent, we can worry about at the time.
Right now we need to be getting ourselves fighting back amongst the top four and hopefully challenging again, the rest comes further down the pecking order right now.

oh, I agree. again, my comments about europe were an observation rather than a critisism. the league is our priority and finishing outside of european places may be a blessing in disguise (although the liverpool accoutants wont agree).

I wouldn't worry or read too much into what happened in Europe this season, if anything it just highlighted how poor a squad Rafa and Hodgson left us with. We were struggling with injuries and a lack of depth, so tactical ingenuity doesn't even some into it, especially when your only options are the likes of Poulsen, N'Gog, Soto and Konchesky.
If you look at Kenny's lineup's now he's relying on youth and has more or less come to the conclusion that the aforementioned players (not to mention the likes of Maxi, Jova and Cole) have absolutely no future here at all.
I have no problem with him taking time to get to know the squad and who's worth keeping and who's not, because he's done the opposite of what our past three managers have done, he's got the first XI more or less spot on most games and isn't concerning himself with keeping players happy, scoring points, being stubborn or worrying too much about the opposition.
