Well I spent last night in a wedding literally full of blues. Very very bitter blues at that. They even had a wedding video full of best wishes from celebrities including seven current Everton players & four ex players (to be fair the groom is a red & the girl who did the video did approach Liverpool three times & they refused on each occasion whereas Everton happily obliged).
Anyway, me & the other six or seven reds that were there were very happy indeed, & to our surprise many of the bitters were extremely complimentary about our side & our chances, most of the amazed at how we'd managed to perfect our defensive record to balance our attack. It seems other fans are much more understanding of our change in tactics this season than we are.

I met a Blue friend for the first time in years this saturday. He was of course extremely dissapointed how the derby ended, but he was also happy With their team this season. He thought the way Sigurdsson finally looked a danger for them and Torres in midfield did well was pleasing, which is true. I think they had a very good game against Chelsea and they appeared better in this derby than they have for years (not to say a decade). This give me a hope that they can put up a fight in the weekend. They run a lot, press a lot and work hard. The only irony is probably that while the red part of Liverpool will be supporting Everton one night off, the blue part will probably hope they loose for once.

I fully agree on Ming as well. I always felt he could have done better on that "slip" goal. In that season, he never really won us any points.

Yeah i watched it at the time. Very good analysis and explains a lot as to why our change of style. As much fun as last season was i never felt relaxed in a game until we were winning by at least 3 goals as there was always a chance the opposition would score at least 2.
Yes. Now when we go one or two up I feel much more comfortable. Almost back to peak Benitez, where you just knew it was a lock as soon as we scored. Incredible transformation.
The thing it's taken me a while to understand about Allison is that his positioning is so good he makes almost every save look routine. His starting position is so much better than anything we've had over recent years.
This is true. Although that wouldn't be hard.
If a load of untrained, un-coached casual football-watching fans can regularly look at their keeper and go "what the fuck are you standing there for, you cunt?!" then it's safe to say there's a problem.
