Karius

Karius on his worst day isn't as bad as this 29 year old (ie. should know fucking better by now) cunt. I literally hate the guy, and I never do that on our players, even the midget manc I have more time for than Mignolet. I've said it before, I'd happily set him on fire.

We just need to buy a proper keeper. I still don't quite understand why Mingolet is still at the club let alone first choice.

This guy just as bad,

Just break the bank for oblack. Klopp showing his stubbornness with the continuing backing of an average keeper

Klopp gave him a contract until 2021. Lovren until 2020.

But i suppose we had to do that to keep their value up ....

I just don't want to watch Ming any more, Karius is also turd.

Why did we recall Ward again?

I have seen Ward once I think last season - I thought he was excellent in that game. Why does he not get a fucking chance ?

There were some interesting defensive discussions over the summer. While Van Dijk was our number one target, it was agreed that he would not resolve all our defensive frailty. And, when Michael Keane was suggested, people agreed that he would struggle at Anfield - at Burnley the setup is defensive and reasonable defenders will look good. At Liverpool the focus is on creative attacking and defenders - and goalkeeper - are more exposed.
Mignolet is playing in a high-profile position, and with less than adequate protection. Every time he makes an error people are all over it, playing it up. Other keepers make mistakes and they get overlooked - but never Mignolet.
He was poor against Leicester this season, but I don't think has been bad otherwise. Also ... weak as our first-choice defense is ... only Lovren of that defense was on the field today. So Mignolet is playing for a team which does not play defensively, where his every fault is magnified and where there has been recent defensive turnover.
If we could get a top class replacement I'd be good with that, but they are few and far between. Otherwise, I'd stick with Mignolet.

Cech had a mare too in letting in Firminho's goal. Why aren't anyone saying anything about that? Cech is still a world class goalie.

It was poor but it was from a much closer range than Ghaka's. Ming had a decent view from 30 yards, straight at him and he didn't have to move much from his setup position but he still managed to fuck it up. A strong fist, or both hands on it would have kept it out.

He continued to be a nervous wreck for the rest of the game. Shambolic.

I hope that the acquisition of a top keeper would transform the defense into a more solid unit similar to what Ederson has done for Man City.
In the meantime I think we need to drop Mignolet and give Karius a chance.
I haven't much faith in Karius but he has done enough in his games this season to suggest that he will be at worst, no worse than Mignolet.
I have wanted Mignolet gone for a long time and was was never convinced by his so called upturn in form.
He is a fragile chicken shit who can be easily bullied by the opposition and can turn a minor calamity into a catastrophe in the blink of an eye.

Even though the first goal was down to lack of concentration by Gomez why wasn't Mingolet screaming at him that Sanchez was sneaking in behind him?
Our whole defense doesn't seem to communicate very much with eachother

I've said it before, we should break he bank on Jan Oblak. He's the best keeper out there who we could realistically sign. He's a proper keeper. Watching Karius is equally if not more nerve-jangling than watching Ming.
Oblak has already said that this will be his last season with Atletico.
Realistically the only side that he could be needed at that we couldn't compete with is PSG.
All the top sides in the Premier league are sorted for keepers as are Barca and Bayern.
Real are about to buy Kepa in January and even if they don't I think it unlikely that Oblak would go there.
I am not even sure if PSG really need a new keeper either so perhaps Arsenal or one of the Italian clubs would be our opposition for his signature.
Let's make this happen.

Neither of our keepers are good enough. It's boring saying it over and over, but we need a better keeper, DM and CB if we're to compete for top honors. Until then our ceiling will always be third/fourth and a cup run under Klopp.

Would love it to happen but I think his clause is around 100m. I think I'd rather take a punt on a 20-30m keeper and add a CB and a midfielder for that amount.

€100M, so around £88M. Let's say we sell Ming and Karius for £30M combined, so £58M for the upgrade – is it worth it, in your opinion?

If we have the money, I would say, let's do it. Kind of goes against Klopp's past record though; I don't think he's ever shelled out any significant money for a goal-keeper.

Mignolet is significantly better than Karius so he is our #1.

We do need better but that wont happen until the summer

If Karius is the answer then we are asking the wrong question.

I don't think we can underestimate the impact a keeper like Oblak would make. I'd prioritize him over a CB really.

Yes, they are playing in a team which makes decent goalkeepers look bad, but thats kind of the point, I like the way we play, and clearly it works, so let break the bank on a top top goalkeeper.
