Just because it didn't work out for Cole here, doesn't mean he's shit.

He's playing in the same team as Hazard and he's playing well.
 
Lille have dropped another strong hint they want Joe Cole’s loan move from Liverpool to become permanent.

Cole has played 20 games, scoring three goals, for the French title holders and has impressed coach Rudi Garcia.

“Of course I would like to keep Joe next season,” he said. “He’s not just a very talented player, but also a man of many qualities.

“His team-mates really appreciate him. I sometimes have to tell him during training to take his foot off the gas and save energy. He is a pleasure to coach.”

Who would have ever thought that last line would be used in reference to Joe Cole?

Surprising. I'm glad he's doing well and I'm sorry it didn't work out for him here. Who knows, maybe there's another chance for him down the track - I liked having Cole in the team despite the fact his performances didn't really justify it.
 
Yeah, I wouldn't mind having him in the squad. He's only going on 31. Especially if we're in Europe next season. Would allow us to perhaps free up the likes of Shelvey for a season loan deal at top flight level too.

It would be hard to justify Cole being here next season esp if we are going to bring in a few more attacking players.
