I think what we do for the midfield would rest on how the nerds see Badger’s future. If it is going to be him and Gravy next season then we won’t look at that position. Zubi was in our minds before Gravy announced himself as one of the best 10 players on the planet. If the plan was Zubi plus Badger then that is redundant.
That’s why I think we need a centre forward. Yea we are getting goals from the wide forwards but the middle is contributing nothing on a reliable basis.

Those clubs got their business done in the summer so they don't have to look to January - bar City they all spent in excess of 150m 6 months ago and the only reason they didn't is because of 115, not that we as a club look to what others are doing and react accordingly.

What if the players we want aren’t available right now - would you have us compromise quality and then miss out on better players because of it?
Also your “£150m 6 months ago is completely false” - only Chelsea, Brighton and Man Utd spent £150m - that’s Brighton who are in 10th, largely because they keep selling their best players and have to buy new ones and Man Utd who are in 13th and will apparently listen to offers for everyone they bought and Chelsea who have an addiction to buying that they should seek help for.
