So who do we think are going to splash some cash in Jan? And which positions?

  • City - I can't see them buying anyone as they don't appear to me to have any gaps in the squad, just a need to gel the players they do have.

  • Chelsea - again, will they buy anyone? What they need is a dominant CF (Lukaku) as I think the rest of the team is strong. Maybe they will get in some extra bodies in defence (or even GK?) as the Chelsea of old was known for not conceding.

  • Arsenal - They need a striker, and maybe more experienced players than Gibbs/ Jenkinson/ Monreal so they might buy a full back with a couple of years left of his career? I also think this is the best position they will find themselves in at Jan for years to come and so it is definitely the time to buy a striker if they can find the right person.

  • United - not sure exactly what to say here. They need something, but I can't really place what. I would have said a more dominant CM to partner Carrick, and more consistent wingers. Are they realistically going to buy anyone though? Fans will be pleading for activity in Jan but I don't follow them enough to know what/ who they need. Personally I think they need Kagawa to be playing!

  • Spurs - with a new manager coming in, he will want to buy a player or two but ultimately he has a very good squad at his disposal.

  • Liverpool - I think we'll buy a Will Hughes type player ("one for the future" etc etc) and loan them back to their club. I would also expect another striker to come in as back up for Sturridge and Suarez. Flanno has been very solid at LB so I don't know if we will buy in Jan for this position with Enqirue to return in a few weeks.

We have to buy 1-2 more players. I think it's imperative we sign a CM (Pogba now would send shock waves down the league, and give us a psychological edge we've not had in years ... Ok ok, not going to happen but still) and a player to replace Moses, who should be flogged back to Chelsea

City will buy a centre back

Arsenal will buy a striker

Dont think Chelsea will buy anyone

Utd - they need 5 new players and have to sell 5 players

We need a midfielder and a left back

Agreed that we should get rid of Moses. I think we will too, Rodgers has shown he is happy to terminate loans. We would need to replace though, not sure who that would be whether it is a loan or a purchase.

I dont think Spurs will sign anybody, they bought 8 in the summer and integrating that many changes has been a nightmare for them

We should ship out Moses and Cisskho cos they are both rubbish, not sure if we will make any signings, is it possible to recall Suso if required?

I expect Utd will be the biggest spenders, Moyes has about 5 months to save his job and he will throw money around. I wouldnt be surprised to see him try and offload some of the dross there either. Kagawa has been playing, and hes looked a bit of a flat track bully, I dont think he will ever be comfortable with the Permiership tempo and I expect he will move back to Germany in the summer.

Arsenal are gonna sign berbatov

Utd will get KBd on their top midfield targets which will be funny

City might sign a keeper but I doubt it

Spurs need a new CB

We're gonna sign a boss someone. I don't care who it is as long as they're boss

Chelsea need a better DM than either Mikel or Essien can be, and a striker who is consistent

Everton probably don't have any money but maybe they can have Moses

I think we should keep Moses - if we revert to a 4231 - we'll need him on the left - otherwise we'd move Coutinho from the centre.

We don't need a striker.

We've got 4 capable central midfielders.

If we want to have a crack at the league - it's not DM's we needs - it's sexy as fuck AM's - we need another Coutinho - operating right/centre behind/beside Suarez.

We need a "game-changer" - young, hungry - someone who'll put fear in to other teams.

Fuck keeping it tight at the back - this is drop your kilts, cocks in hand, charge over the heather....

.... you know.... If you were Highland warriors....

.... or.... it's dress in white, tie those ribbons tight and really dance round that Morris pole with conviction...

.... I may have had a beer or two.....

.... Oooooooh Scotch....

Interesting - not surprising I suppose but in recent years I haven't thought of Utd as big spenders so it would be interesting to see them try to take on City/ Chelsea in this regard. They need some firepower that's for sure!

Does anybody thing they may go for Barkley? Could a big money offer persuade Everton to sell?

Id be surprised if they didnt bid for him, I expect City to inquire about him too. Hed be a great signing for us but its not gonna happen for obvious reasons.

They (Utd) are a financial disaster waiting to happen - they're loaned up to the neck.

I hope their strategy is to try and spend their way out of it - if it goes wrong and they loose champions league revenue for a few seasons -they'll be absolutely fucked.

There's massive rumours that Falcao has no interest in being at Monaco. My prediction is that either Chelsea or Man Utd will buy him this Jan. You heard it here first lads.

United will definitely spend. They could sign a big name to appease their fans; but this player might not be what they need. Having said that, wouldnt be surprised if they went for Ander Herrera again.

Citeh and Gooners will be in for a top notch striker.

We may opt for wingers instead of a striker but we definately need another top CM.
