@StevieM - what's the latest word on the Top Reds street ? - we getting anyone ? - I hear Ollise, Manu Kone, and Innacio on the listings ? which one do you want ?

We should take a look at Juan Foyth for that RB/CB cover, He's done well since leaving Spurs and would be a smart pick up for a decent fee..

Nah - let's not spend money on RB/LB - these are the academy graduate positions. I was impressed with the way Bradley handled Martinelli - made him give up very quickly. I want him to start against Fulham, its a free hit really.

Yes but let's not get too carried away, stopping a winger is much harder to do from the first minute than it is after they've run themselves down for 70mins.

Martinelli had been on the pitch for 13 minutes before Bradley came on.

We’re apparently looking at some Korean lad I believe - Fukin No-Whan - he’s been linked with a few other teams, but we’re favourites.

Chelsea are after his cousin Fukin Evre-Whan.

LOL !!!!! - brilliant - you are a credit to Top Reds with that.

A top red is one who is close to the butt of the club hierarchy - nothing is ever wrong even when our players cannot run, or when we don't have enough players to cover serious injuries. They are the sort that buy into some Klopp's tinkering like playing Darwin Nunez in defence if need be so that the ownership does not have to spend any money.

A bottom red is someone who is passionate about change, and continuous development of Liverpool FC, and is always on the lookout for talent to replace our dross or to add to our talent pool.

Ok @Markeh ? - so what are you ? and do you know who we might get this January ? -, I checked out @StevieM 's linking us to "Fukin No-Whan", it's a fake link and he is at the Asian Cup so it would not benefit us immediately.

So… sensible, realistic and pragmatic versus a child that needs shiny new things every 29 minutes or he’ll stomp his feet and huff.

😀

A striker? A defender? We can get by if you don’t buy but another sizzling goal scorer might be nice

* I know it’s not happening

Wouldn’t be cheap unfortunately.

Besides they’d only be keeping Mbappe’s seat warm for the summer.

@moron unlike previous transfer windows where I was with you shouting for signings and we predicted outside top 4 finish if we didn't buy MFs, this season feels different.
Our play is disjointed at times, we quite frequently get carved open, however, of all the teams we lose the least and let in the least amount of goals.
Klopp isn't buying, probably because of lack of funds, but he is getting back youngsters that have done well on loan and promoting them to 1st team football. It feels everyone is contributing and upping their games this season.
Nunez, is frustrating but he is the catalyst for so much of our attacks.
CJ hold up play has always been good, but now he releasing the ball at the right time.
Diaz is showing much of his old self lately. VVD, Gomez, Konate, Quansah and Trent all doing their part keeping that defence one of the best in Europe. It's hard to criticise any player in the last couple of games.
Even wee little Harvey is playing really well, and shutting doubters like me up.
Would I like to see a signing, yes I would, but if we got no one, I wouldn't be too upset, because on paper, we are well stocked with players

It’s almost like if you keep the same group of players together for a long time they get used to playing together and the team gets better as opposed to when you buy loads of players every season and struggle to get them to play consistently well…

Still hopeful we can do something defensively, we seem to always be happy with what we have....which is ok if we have a fully fit squad, but we should know by now this is almost never the case with us. We went into the season with the smallest squad in the league with 4 competitions to compete in so the sensible thing to do in reinforce while we still can.

I don’t think it’s “happy”, it’s more like Klopp says - is someone available at a cost that makes sense - if they are, we’ll do business (eg Diaz, Gakpo), if they aren’t we’re not going do a Chelsea and overpay for the sake of it.

You also have to factor in how hard it can be for a player to integrate mid-season - sometimes they’re quick to settle, sometimes they aren’t.
