I still like him despite all the injuries – if you talk about players who are "pushing the train," he is definitely the type. A bit more Mane than Salah in terms of how his influence doesn't always translate to goals and assists. Just scored his first goal (in a cup game) after the long-term injury and also provided 2 assists in league games – remains to be seen how his fitness will hold up for the rest of the season. Calciomercato is trash, but I would treat this link more seriously than some others.

Bit worried about signing more players with a bad injury record, and we have the Italian player curse to worry about, but he is a fantastic player.

Same. I can see it going badly, but I also can't help but like him very much every time I see him play.

So this winter, after a poultry spend of £37m the kitty has gone dry despite reaching 3 finals and being close to two points away from winning the league, not forgetting in the summer our net transfer spend was close to 0.
Where has the money gone, did they come up with a pay packet that over compensates players? Are they paying agents too much in fees

does he play on the right? I remember him looking great quite a while ago

Completely random thought, since we're all focusing on forwards now. Weren't we interested in Jarrod Bowen last season when he was blowing the PL away? West Ham not doing too great this season but he just died a brace. Might there be a chance to get him?

That's a lot of money to spend on chickens.

£250m to spend, what load of crock when you having to sell the Irish Kevin and Nat to raise funds for new transfers. Pearce might be talking out of his arse, but I believe this has hints of truth. I mean we haven't recouped Gakpo's fee yet

He's too good to be sitting on the bench tbf. He was likely going to move regardless of how much/little money we had to spend in the summer.

There is perhaps an argument for selling Alisson, but we took nearly 30 years to find a world class keeper and you'd have to be 100% confident Kevin was able going to reach a similar level (and I think they rate Pitaluga very highly).

Our owners are too chicken to invest and, frankly, they're making making this club look like a turkey.

I suspect Kelleher will leave this summer, but fuck me if we are now selling sub goalkeepers to fund a rebuild then we really are in burn the floorboard to stay warm territory.
