Whatever she may or may not have done in her life, Jade Goody is a mother who has died of a very nasty disease. She's no more deserving of attention or sympathy than anyone else in her position, but IMHO no less so either.

Did the PM ar the time give public sympathy when John Diamond lost his public battle with cancer NO, this is a reach out to the chavs for a vote tactic.
What amazed me this morning was in the petrol garage there were at least 3 different mags saying they had "jade's last ever interview", congrats Max Clifford - nicely done
Shame for kids of course and great if more young women get tested but the public love in is pathetic.
