"It's complicated"? -- No it isn't, fuck off Barca - £113 Million bid rejected

I have a feeling Coutinho isn't Klopps type of player. I think Klopp likes quick, direct wingers while having three hardworking midfielders. It wouldn't surprise me if he sold Coutinho.
What you smoking? He's very hard working and always direct

So here is Klopp contradicting all of Modo's 'feelings' about Klopp's take on Coutinho:

Jurgen Klopp insists he is ready to use Philippe Coutinho in a number of positions this season.
The Liverpool boss believes his Brazilian star should not be “fixed” into a specific role, with his talent allowed to flourish naturally.
Coutinho spent much of last season operating from the left of the Reds' front three, his position described as “a wing 10” by Klopp back in May .
But he shone in the final weeks of the season from a deeper midfield station, and did so again as Liverpool beat Leicester to win the Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong at the weekend.
Klopp, though, is ready to keep an open mind over the 25-year-old.
“He is not fixed and he should not be fixed,” he said. “Look against Leicester. Gini (Wijnaldum) and Hendo couldn’t play together because we have these two players for the No 6 at the moment. Either one or the other.
“Of course they can play together but you couldn't do it (against Leicester)
“Then with Adam (Lallana) and Phil and Gini it was really offensive. We need to have these different options.
“Systems are not that important. They are important of course but not as much if you can play different systems. You can play every system that you know, as long as they make sense. This at the moment is how we have to work with the players.
“So it makes for us the most sense like this and Phil can play every day in about five positions - in all these different systems. It's cool. You have to do the right thing at the right moment.

Unfortunately I reckon he'll be a Barca player come the end of the window. I'm waiting for the transfer request after we reject their 2nd or 3rd bid.

I also think he works hard, but the question is if he's the type of attacking midfielder he wants. I can only judge Klopp by his time in Dortmund. If he's looking to emulate that team, I can't remember them having a player in the Coutinho mould in his team.

He's not going to go like for like with that team. He's already switched from 4-2-3-1 to essentially a 4-3-3.

If we sell Coutinho (and/or Can) we are fucking dickheads and it doesnt really matter who we sign we are done.

I will be genuinely considering giving up and becoming a full time Wycombe Wanderers fan.

If our answer to Chelsea, United and City buying everyone they want is selling our best player, then what a fucking joke we are.

This all needs to fuck off.

No he cannot make us a top team all on his own obviously,
But considering he's the only top player we have, and bearing in mind that we need to have about 2-3 more top players to really restore our position in world football, I don't see how selling him helps us being taken seriously in Europe any time soon.

this is how clubs like ours make a killing. Sell for a great price, and reinvest. He's replacemable for sure. But hard to make money on him if everyone knows you've got 120M in your pocket when you're looking for his replacement.

Problem is, these past few years selling our best players has more often than not meant one step forward two steps back. Selling Coutinho isn't going to solve anything. Its just gonna weaken us and when we finally feel like we've sufficiently replaced him, it's time for next big player to go.

Yeah but look on the bright side, if we get 120 million we'll probably raid Hull again for Tom Huddlestone and Oumar Niasse. Onwards and upwards.

"This is the worst window since Liverpool's summer 2017/18"

Do I understand it correctly that we should root for Neymar to stay at Barca and not go to PSG? This way, Barca will be less likely to go hard after Coutinho and also Alexis Sanchez will likely move to PSG, thus making our rivals much weaker. Whereas if Neymar goes, this might set the chain of events in motion where we lose our best player and Arsenal keep theirs (at least for one more season).

IF Coutinho goes I wouldn't be surprised if Kopp decides to go as well. No ambition, no point in staying.

What's fucking wrong with expressing your opinion on a football forum? If you disagree, make an argument as to why, not just jump on a bandwagon to kick a poster expressing an unpopular opinion.

BTW here's a poll I did in the aftermath of the Leicester home game, 72% of you wanted Coutinho benched for the next few games.

Shut your pie hole. I was actually asking him if he was 'serious'? I think it was more tongue in cheek from the poster. So do one bitch.

If Coutinho goes it might arguably make it easier for Klopp to build a better, more balanced starting 11.

Klopp strikes me as someone that likes the underdog tag and the idea of rebuilding with his back against the wall might give him a boner, for a brief period. The realisation that the club is incapable of signing his preferred players (due to a myriad of reasons) would be the final nail in the coffin.

Nope, the media are reporting they are trying to rush a move through to appease Neymar, as he feels like he's the last brazilian standing in Barcelona

Ha. How can Barca make an agreement with Coutinhio to join Barca if we have not given Barca permission to speak to the player.

THAT IS TAPPING UP..!!!

Fucktards the daily rags..

You forgot to mention get their players en masse to say how Coutinho is great (although I suppose that could come under unsettle player)

Clubs could just speak with their shady agents. It's not like they're gonna tell.

Its no secret that coutinho wants to go to barca and who can blame him. But i see liverpool keeping him for one more season and then flogging him for an even higher price next year. No way will FSG sell him behind Klopp's back.

If they offered 100 million at the end of last season... we might very well have accepted. For starters 100 million seemed like a fucking huge amount (before Walker went for 50 million) and it would have given us the whole transfer window to rebuild.

With the difficulties we've had this summer signing players.. we'd be fucking idiots to let him leave.

Indeed, he'll stay this summer but next he'll be off I reckon.

Radio Catalunya who said personal terms have been agreed, arent reliable at all.

He won't be sold this year, IMO. FSG are heavily dependent in Klopp bringing them success because have shown they know fuck all in terms of how to build a winning football club. Klopp in part quit Dortmund I suspect because he was sick of losing his best players year after year to Bayern. He won't be favour of Coutinho being sold and I'd be surprised if FSG overruled him on the matter. The club did extremely well tying him down this year without a release clause. We can cash in whenever we want and given its a world cup year then his price could easily escalate further. Coutinho just doesn't strike me as the sort to force a move through but even if so we need to stand firm.
