"It's complicated"? -- No it isn't, fuck off Barca - £113 Million bid rejected

Yeh, that was Ballague who said that. He also said Aspas and Alberto were astute signings.

What if they offered 160 million with 75% of that upfront with the rest over 5 years? I'd consider FSG idiots for not selling under those circumstances.

I don't for a second believe Barcelona would offer that ..but let's not kid ourselves , there's definitely a price that would wrap up the deal quick smart.
At some point, it ceases to be about money but about the club. As been already mentioned, we can't disrupt our season just because Barcelona us tardily run.

Nah I reckon that's it. Nice one. He better cheer the fuck up and start earning his keep.

So far, the way Barcelona have conducted themselves seems to have all been designed to placate their support, rather than to actually get coutinho.

The money required to get a player to placate them, given his contract situation, I don't even think is worth it. I don't think they have it either. But does anyone look at barca and see a team that needs to replace the one piece of the puzzle they lost? They need to do a real rebuild.

Dembele's supposed to fill the forward position, with Coutinho being part of the 'rebuild' by replacing Iniesta. Think they bought another 3 players already.
But yeah, they're offers have been ridiculously unrealistic.

They're truly evil fucks if your theory is correct. They've destroyed Coutinho's relationship with supporters at Liverpool, made him look a right tit by telling him to hand in a transfer request.
I think they really wanted him, and likely thought that him kicking up a fuss would make us fold.

Barcelona are hardly a side that need to make ridiculous, doomed-to-failure attempts to sign players that aren't realistically likely to join them, to "placate" their fans.

They usually get who they want, and the media-led shithousery is a typical tactic, and typically works. As for them not having the money, don't make me fucking laugh

Obviously they're tremendously wealthy, but I think if they had more liquidity, they wouldn't have done a structured payment, especially with all the Neymar money coming in. They have a lot of debt, and more coming with the stadium renovation. I get that the "media-led shithousery" often wins out, but I think its designed to play for their own as much as it is for us and Jermaine Jenas of the world

Hopefully we can get him on the bench on Wednesday and then in the team for Arsenal. Couple of goals and all this will be forgotten. For now.

Would his "entourage" have released that info.without checking with the man himself? If not, the leak might suggest he's naffed off with Barcelona. Interesting.
