"It's complicated"? -- No it isn't, fuck off Barca - £113 Million bid rejected

His comment was offensive and highly inappropriate.. Proably to be fair not well thought out.. The point of my post was he seemed to ask what's inappropriate.. like duh!!!

That's not being out of order at all..

I was in the middle of something so hasn't clicked on the link. As mods don't copy and paste every pm in an open forum I'm don't get to see how many people get flagged. If my post is deemed inappropriate I can only assume people get pinged left right and center on here every single day.

Posting it publically is way out of order but all good I don't care and as said let's move on.

They are getting closer to what we would accept I think but that's not the issue, it has and always will be the timing.

We can't replace him and Klopp learned last year it's really difficult to do business in Jan so we'd basically fuck ourselves if we let him for any price this late in the window

Why would we accept £80m spread over 5 years and another £40m from add ons which are bullshit?

Even though we may be dickheads it's good to see the club telling Barca to fuck off

Haha the fact it was my first ever report was part of my wtf is this moment.

I made a stupid joke about Moreno driving in Barcelona to scare Coutinho off moving which considering what gets posted on here every day I would think wouldn't even get noticed.

It did and I apologised, not really a banning offence sadly for you

From an English speaking FC Barcelona forum.

They're all shitting themselves. Just sit tight and smile as they continue to submit these joke offers and next week will be even more fun once City sign Messi.

Just as I thought. They are the worst kind of cheapskates pretending to be the big spenders.Fuck Barca and fuck little Phil too.If he can't understand why we are not selling Klopp can explain to him after Sept 1st and get a whole load of shit off his chest.

I sent him the warning in wake of sheiks comment.. Its got nothing to do with who showing who is in charge. I was trying to crack a joke over...

Ah forget it..
I
I can see there are 4 more pages after this and so obviously I may get embarrassed or 'whooshed' but ...

@RedNinja I don't think there is a reason to apologise nor for anyone to chastise you. I complained about a post on this site for the first time since joining (about 6 months after the forum was created). In general the reason I've found SCM to be the right place for me is the mildly anarchic tone and the way people can express themselves and get a robust and relatively fair response. It feels like my local online.

However the posting about the Barcelona tragedy in such a way so soon after the news broke just didn't sit well with me, so I ticked the complaints box and responded (probably just as poorly) in kind. Obviously, the tone of the site is set and moderated by the owners and I have no time or desire to do the same myself and so I've no interest in challenging their decisions. Quite the contrary I do my best to help when the opportunity is there

In this case I was pretty fucked off by the, in my mind, ridiculous insensitivity of the post and wanted to flag it and respond. @RedNinja is not at fault in responding and I'm surprised that @Oncy you don't see it too.

This is way beyond a happy, clappy forum and it has areas that are more social that others but the fact is (for me) that the footie forum should focus on that, and totally fucking shitty ill-timed and genuinely unfunny posts should be rebuked. I won't follow up on this - it is just to say that, at least one forum poster was genuinely disappointed at one particular post and I appreciate a mod rebuking it

That offer is completely rubbish by the way.

We should be demanding straight up deal with a sell on % if we are to entertain an offer although it looks like we are not going to.

So w have to keep him then. No doubt.

My only thinking is if we had Keita and VVD tied up as unlikely as that looks then we got £114 mill for philco and invested that tootsuite we would actually be a much stronger side.

The rejection would suggest we havnt a chance of signing anyone
Agree with this. We were going to pay £66m for Keita and ca. £60m for VVD so if we were to say sell at £125m cash up front (plus a couple of free one year loans from them to strengthen the squad) then we could pay £70m for VVD (Southampton would bite our hands off) and £80m for Keita (Rangnick already said they'd have to consider an outrageous bid) we'd effectively be replacing Coutinho (with Keita) and strengthening defence for £25m. Add in Seri too and we'd still have spent under £100m this window. The money is irrelevant at this stage though, everyone seems to be paying far far over the actual going rate and it's not going to continue.

This.

Are Barcelona in debt or something?
About £300m in debt and they want to refurb the Nou Camp which is estimated to cost another £500m. But don't feel sorry for the bastards Modo. They allegedly get £100m a season from Nike and their Rakuten kit sponsor throw another £60m or so at them, then there's the TV and prize money, money from La Liga other commercial revenues so they're not exactly skint they're just trying to mug us off. Oh and fhey got £200m up front in their bank account for Neymar. Even their own fans admit they're being cunts with these low ball offer. I'd just unplug the fax line if I was at the club, they're obviously not serious in wanting to sign Coutinho and someone needs to tell Coutinho this that if his dream club want to be serious about signing him then they need to put an offer in that truly reflects the nature of this crazy window and not some Mickey mouse payment plan over 5 years.

Cunts
