He also defended himself by saying he made a mistake in winning 4 titles/cups in his first 2 years and now expectations are too high!
 
We already knew we won't win anything else with him in charge, but that's not the reason to keep him.

I'd have more respect for the guy if he held his hands up and admitted we'd underachieved. However, he seems unwilling to accept any responsibility.

I agree with that. If you admit you've made mistakes I believe people will be understanding. If you try to wriggle out of accepting any blame for anything, almost to the point of absurdity, that goes down quite badly!
 
He also said something absurd about how he'd made the mistake of 'winning four trophies' and thus raised expectations too high. Four trophies? So he's counting the Super Cup and... what else?

I was convinced he was going, it was the only bright light at the end of a disastrous season. Every day I expect the news of him leaving to come, but he's still here. I don't understand why and how he's still here.

Yeah. I don't hate the guy like others on here and am not convinced we should get rid, but these sorts of interviews really do test my patience. Just try a little honesty for a change instead of churning out bullshit.

He is edging closer and closer to interviews that are as ridiculous as the ones Houllier used to churn out (we were the better team because we won more corners etc.).
 
We need to get with the signings to cheer everyone up a bit.
I suggest very quickly selling N'gog, Mascherano, Riera, Degen, Babel and Lucas and signing.......anyone really...... Well anyone better than that crock of wank obv (not Inc mascherano if he wants to stay)
 
If Mascherano is going to leave because of his dopey wife, it would be better if he did so as soon as possible so that we can find a replacement.

I can't think of anybody around who does that job better though.
 
I could handle the prospect of another year of Rafa's management but pairing it with another year of Rafa's interviews is unbearable. I've always stated that I would wish him well when he moves to another club but I'm starting to change my mind.

That's because there isn't anybody who fits that description. Had Masher not recovered his form with a bang in the second half of last season, it's frightening to think where we might have finished in the league. If he does go the whole team will need rebalancing.

Rafa sounds like a alcoholic that's in denial. He should come clean and put his hand up. We were poor this season and he made mistakes. It happens. None of the Liverpool fans will even entertain such dross.
