I'm going to make a delicious prediction

Poch is Inter's back up if they fail to land Conte.
I doubt he'll jump ship now but Inter have $$$ with their Chinese investment.
Why would either leave ?

I dont think either will be leaving in the next 12 months

Well, Conte to go back home and shit loads of money and hungry owners.

Poch - unlikely but you never know how it is with money and managing a team that is far bigger name wise than Spurs.

I imagine a lot of it will be down to the actions of Levy, if he allows big players to leave as too make a profit, I think Potch will leave with them, otherwise he stays.

Inter or Spurs for Poch ? Inter are 8th in the Scudetto having lost 6 and drawn one of their last 7 matches and are quite unlikely to feature in Europe at all next season.

No way would he give up Spurs and CL to to go there until they sort themselves out somewhat.

Yeah but Conte will be earning a wedge at chelsea , he wont be living like a pauper, theyre the v
Champions of england and a great squad to build upon and at this point , theres no reason to think they wont be winning x trophies next season.

Poch likewise is on the brink of making spurs into a top side for the first time in however many decades/

Id love both to leave, i just dont think its likely

Conte is one of the best paid managers in the world, but he's still earning less than Klopp, Pep, Mourinho and Wenger.

So he'll ask for improved terms, and rightly so.

The only way he would ever leave in summer is if he feels that Chelsea are not rewarding him correctly, or not allowing him the funds and freedom to buy who he wants.
Neither seems likely.

My Serie A-following sources don't think Inter really believe they'll get Conte. According to them Inter are pretty sure Pochettino will end up being their prime target and are prepared to break the bank to get him. Doesn't mean they will, of course.

Out of curiosity, anyone who knows these sort of things, what odds would I get on Spurs outside the top four next season?

I'm pretty sure paddy power or one of the main bookies has a request form thingy on their site to ask for odds on stuff not listed.

They are fourth favourite for the title next season and odds on to finish top four.
Not sure what the odds would be to finish outside the top four but it probably wouldn't be much better than evens

I think - or maybe simply hope - that Mystic has a point here.

Obviously they are favourites to finish above us - they usually do - but maybe the temporary new home will fuck them up a bit. They certainly seemed to struggle a bit when playing their European games there, and West Ham have had a bit of a poor season also since their move.

So why not?

Clearly we need to set our sights a bit higher than "finishing above Spurs" but it would be another sign of progress if we did, I suppose

His family haven't left Italy.
Inter have hired some of his old backroom team already.
Inter are willing to pay him 250k a week.
He has met with Inter.

I'm not betting against it

I thought Simeone was guaranteed to move to Inter at some point. Given he seems to have hit a wall with Atletico, maybe he will move there this summer.

Man u second favorites seemingly.
Chelsea only third with Man City favorites

I think bookies' odds in some way reflect the size and expectations of the respective club's fanbase rather than a pure football-based prediction. On a purely football basis, there is no way you can take United's 6th place worthy performance this season and project them to be 2nd favorites for the title next year. But their large and delusional fan base will ensure they are always high in the bookies' odds.

On football side, at this point, I think any predictions would be fairly meaningless anyway. First we need to see who will be in the CL, any managerial changes in top 6 (Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs?) and the caliber of players being signed in the summer.

New stadium for Atleti next season ... He'll stay one more year minimum but he'll be off then (maybe Arsenal?)

I agree playing their home games at Wembley and then the new ground will have a negative affect on them.
Sadly your other point about they way they are run is true too. The most successful clubs are the best run clubs. Always has been, always will be. And they clearly have the best possible people in every role. Ergo they are ahead of Citeh, Arse, us and Manure.
However it's also worth remembering they have not one anything since 2008 and have only won two league titles, the last in 1961. So for all their achievements they are yet to cement themselves as a big modern-day club. They don't have the money of Chavs, so might never wijn anything.
Anyway, fuck them. I hope they fail dismally.

Personally, I do not think they are a better run team than us at all. Last season was a complete nightmare for us in many ways but despite playing over 60 games we were one piece of game changingly poorly timed shit defending by Moreno from making the CL...

This season we would have (deservedly) beaten Spurs twice were it not for a bullshit home reffing offside decision at the shithole of WHL and indeed by my reckoning, I think that the last time we were actually able to play our first 11 was early December against Sunderland at home.

I will say it more clearly, this season we have had more bad luck than you can shake a stick at and we are man for man a considerably better team than Spurs.

I think they do have a good manager in Pochetino and they do have some good players also, certainly at the back it's fair to say that they are better than us, but in midfield and going forward we are considerably better than them and much much nicer to watch.

We are also not a complete bunch of uber cunt chavvy cunts.

I'm hoping they get to suffer at Wembley. Fuck em.

As much as I hate to say this, Louis, Rose, Vertonghen, Alderwhatshisface, Dembele, Wanyama and Kane would walk into our team.

Pochettino says he will be Spurs boss at start of next season

Mauricio Pochettino has guaranteed he will still be Tottenham Hotspur manager at the start of next season, and insists there is no buy-out clause in his contract.
Spurs have already secured a second-placed finish in the Premier League, and sealed Champions League football for another year.
Pochettino has faced questions about his future in recent weeks amid interest from Barcelona and Internazionale, with some reports in Italy suggesting his contract includes a buy-out clause. The Argentinian, however, dismissed speculation he could leave Tottenham this summer. “No, no buy-out clause in my contract. I will stay here next season,” Pochettino said.
“There are many rumours, but I am committed to the club and have no reason to leave the club. I will stay here, don’t worry. On July 3th, for pre-season, I will be here, don’t worry.”

Give a fuck about Spurs.

I know you have this special hatred for them @Mystic but even the current wankfest won't put them above our traditional rivals. Those cunts down the East Lancs road.

Laughing at them when we fail is scant consolation, but....back in 1991 a certain club we all know and love in red started a decline after several dynasties. Us.

There's so many similarities to their situation currently to ours back then. Of course football has changed massively since then, and I doubt they'll go 30 odd years without a league but I can but hope. Always this lot over Spurs for the hatred and loathing.

Yeah, and current wankfest aside, they still never fucking win anything.

But of course, there will never be any doubt which teams Liverpool fans hold a special enmity for: United first, always. And then the fucking bitters.

The goaly and the two centre backs... I agree... not so sure about Dembele.... Certainly not Wanyama... and for what its worth despite the goals Kane is nowhere near as good as a fit Sturridge, but then a fit Sturridge is a rare event isn't it. Dele Ali, however, is a pick.

Either way, I prefer the pre- December system we were playing, it was awesome to watch and worked a treat.
And Kane looks like a 1950's retard.

Coutinho, Firmino, Mane.... Spurs just simply cannot match that...

I still think we are a considerably better team than Spurs, yeah the table doesn't lie I understand but we battered them at Anfield and pretty much did the same at WHL but they had 12 players on.

Come on mate, Wanyama is the only contentious selection there. As for Delle Ali, well i'd have Mane and Coutinho ahead of him, so no.

It would be a very short list if you named the Liverpool players that would get in the Spurs team.

Coutinho & Mane

Big mismatch between the current Arse style, and Simeone's view of how the game is played, isn't there? Not impossible, but not exactly a match made in heaven (and probably another good reason why their fan base is so pissed off about us having Herr Klopp).
