I believe Dein was advising FSG at times. If Ayres goes, do people still think things are cool behind the scenes? What's more worrying is how many directors FSG are getting through as well.

I don't reckon things are all rosy, all i'm thinking is that Rodgers and FSg is miles better than Roy and H&G or are they turning out to be just as bad?

I've never like the Ian Ayre promotion mainly because I would've preferred someone influential and with experience to be at helm, esp given the lack of footballing know how at the top hierarchy of the club.

I'm all for a better appointment but FSG were the one who gave him the mandate and how is Ayre to blame if people at the top refuse to sanction a move for a player they deem had no resale value or because another player prefer a permanent move instead of a loan? FSG could do with doing some reflection instead of just identifying other's faults. Not saying they're wrong with the removal of the likes of Kenny, Comolli, Brukner etc but hoping they'll start making the right moves rather than rectification.

He was also guilty of bringing in Rodgers, Suarez, Sahin, Allen, Borini..... it's not quite black or white. But he is a better commercial/marketing director than MD based on current evidence though.

They are custodians. They don't have put their own money in. They have to generate the funds and push Liverpool as a brand and as a business. Football has changed, deal with it.
