I wanNaby (Under the sea in an Octopus's Garden in the Shade) - Deal Confirmed

I'm going to retire after my last case, as the undefeated, undisputed best god damn lawyer in the city. The problem with law is that your enemies will have retired and died of old age before you get around to it. Revenge served cold was my thing when I planned it around how the great Monsieur Edmond Dantes plotted his own vengeance. But times change, I'm more digging the way Ayra Stark goes about revenge.
Oh yes, I recall you saying you haven't lost (or won) in the judicial review thread.

But it's been in court since 2013/4, and you still haven't even received a shag out of gratitude for the girl you're doing it for.

Meanwhile the solicitors you've supposedly taken to the cleaners have undoubtedly burned a hole in the university's coffers; they can't be too displeased with how you've (unwittingly) helped line their pockets.

I hope you obtain favourable judgment eventually, but your retirement will surely prove a far greater loss to the university's solicitors.

They're on their third set of solicitors. Each one has not only got paid, but they've improved as solicitors by going up against me. It disgusts me, they're like my progeny, it's disgusting there's no other words for that, like they've stolen from my true greatness, then parade around the city like pretenders. This must be how it feels to have children.

@Rosco needs to get in here and go full RAWK on this and the VVD thread, and put the smackdown on the shit that's getting posted. I keep seeing there's an update in the thread, getting excited there's some news, reading the posts and then it's some daft bastards talking about pretending to be camping or something.

Or have a news only thread for tweets, articles and the like. Then threads such as these can veer merely off course.

Hmmm there is nothing in the thread title mentioning the players nor that we are close to signing them..... so if you come in here with those expectations I guess it is on you ;-)

Who let this fucking guy past our camp perimeter?

Who was on watch?

Sir, you keep watchmen to protect your camp or to prevent the delusioned campers from escaping???

There is no delusion, only faith. But when there is a lack of faith, there is the sweet cleansing of the correction room.

Dominic King: Liverpool abandon pursuit of Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita as Jurgen Klopp accepts the German club will not sell

[article]Liverpool's record-breaking pursuit of Naby Keita is over for this summer after they accepted RB Leipzig are unwilling to do business.

Jurgen Klopp had targeted the Guinea international as being someone who would provide drive and dynamism to his midfield and was prepared to back his judgement in the player with the biggest transfer outlay in Liverpool’s history.

Liverpool had an initial bid of £57million at the start of this month rebuffed by Leipzig, who put up barriers from the outset when it became apparent that Klopp wanted to take Keita to the Premier League.

They returned with an offer that, with add-ons, was worth more than £66million – a fee that would have been worth almost double what Liverpool spent to bring Mohamed Salah from Roma at the beginning of this transfer window.

Once again, however, Leipzig rejected Liverpool’s bid and having previously made it clear to Anfield officials that they did not welcome the interest in Keita, they refused to consider doing business despite the size of the financial package being huge.

Keita wanted to come to England and was desperate to play for Klopp but Liverpool are now actively pursuing other targets to bolster their midfield, having come to terms with the fact that any more offers to Leipzig would have treated the same.

The only way a transfer could be resurrected before the end of August would be if Leipzig performed a U-turn and decided it would be futile keeping an unhappy player at the club but, given how robust they have been in their stance, such a scenario is unlikely.

This twist in the story, though, does not mean that Liverpool’s interest in Keita is permanently over and given he has a release clause in his contract that can be activated next summer, it is highly likely he will move to Merseyside in the summer of 2018.

It will, nonetheless, come as a blow to Keita, who had his heart set on playing for Klopp in the Champions League. He has endured a difficult time through the speculation and was involved in a spat on Monday with his team-mates after a heavy tackle on Leipzig’s Diego Demme.

The situation has also been inflamed with Ralf Ragnick, Leipzig’s Sporting Director, saying that Keita was being advised by a “whole village in Guinea” – a remark for which he was forced to offer an explanation.

Klopp had indicated after Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Wigan on July 14 that his patience was not limitless in terms of pursuing targets and while it is prudent to look elsewhere with a month remaining of the window, it will not make him feel any better.

He was anxious to sign Keita and this development represents another blow to their ambitions, having been forced to apologise to Southampton and withdraw their interest after allegations they had tapped up Virgil Van Dijk.

Liverpool have been on a training camp in the German town of Rottach Egern and play their next pre-season fixture on Saturday against Hertha Berlin; they will then contest the Audi Cup in Munich before discovering who they will face in the Champions League play-off next Friday.[/article]

🙁 Joining the list of Dahoud, Pulisic and Brandt then it seems.
