I don't think it's linked as far as we are concerned. We want Naby and have bid £65m for him.

Maybe Barca think differently, but LFC don't want to sell Coutinho, or need to.
Perhaps they think if we get Naby in, it might make it "easier" for us to relent about Coutinho, which has some logic, I suppose.

Selling your best players does end well quite often. So long as you know how to spend the money - we clearly don't.
