I wanNaby (Under the sea in an Octopus's Garden in the Shade) - Deal Confirmed

Revelatory stuff there.

Haha it wasn't an in depth analysis thats for sure.

But I think he does break it down pretty well in regards the player Keita is - more so for people who have not seen him play.

He can sit back deep and contain - but his main attributes are moving forward and making runs beyond the no.10 & no.9

I'd say he is a pretty similiar player to Henderson in that regard - who I hope can stay fit for the season.

Apparently the Leipzig CEO has said this saga is boring and a transfer won't happen. Probably bluster, but worth mentioning.

Dunno. If the will is there to keep him, they will do just that. It's just if we can turn their heads with a figure.

Just like how Monchi told journos Roma isn't a supermarket, and then sells Salah, Paredes and Rudiger?

My concern is that Leipzig with the Redbull backing have no need in the slightest to go chasing dollar. Unless Keita is able to convince them to let him go, then they're not going to sell to us.

*wakes up next to the bonfire with amusing lipstick smiles on face* Holy fucking shit balls! - Is this deal not done already? *Falls back to sleep.....*

EDIT : Doc throw me a blanket for fucks sake!.... Please...

Last of the blankets went on the fire last night.

Keita is the in the same position as VVD, regardless of how much money the parent club has, and how long the contract is etc, it's pretty much unprecedented these days for a top tier club to put a massively paid player in the reserves to rot - unfortunately the players have all the power, if they want a move, they'll pretty much get it. They don't even really need to put transfer requests in either. If they really want to come this summer, they will be.

With Kieta release clause next year there's no need for him to force a move through to us and sour his relationship with the club. If he gets told he won't be sold I can't see him complaining. He's guaranteed a big move twelve months later regardless.

Fuck's sake, lads, you've been doing this for years ..isn't it time you clubbed together and bought a decent camper van; you cant live like teenagers all your lives!

We did buy a camper van and we were living like adults thank you very much Mr Mature! But we ran out of campfire fuel so we swapped it for 5 disposable BBQs, a bag of kindling sticks and 3 sacks of logs. AND WE STAND BY THAT DECISION!

It really fucking winds me up that every little thing requires an explanation and justification

I have survived on class a substances & beer alone for at least a week in the past, so I know it can be done. It's not like I was being irresponsible.

True. But then Speedie, Clough, Kewell, Robbie Keane & Spackman wouldn't have tainted its memory.

Smicer gets an out from this list primarily for 2005.

Spackman? Good player in a workhorse capacity. He did a lot of the dirty work in that season of beauty and glory with Barnes, Aldo and Beardo terrorising the league and did a fine job in the absence of Whelan.

I saw very little of him that I can remember properly tbh. I do remember some of that 88 team which was boss. I remember more of him playing for other teams after us which is probably adversely effecting my view of him.

There were ladies here the other night. We may be smelly, famished and permanently in a state of semi-drunkness, but we are still irresistible to members of the opposite sex. That Women's Institute Hill-walking group were quite the minxes. Until that one had a stroke whilst we were all skinny-dipping. That killed the mood a little.
