I really liked him..

It wasn't Rushes decision to go to Italy. As I recall it was the club's doing and he was devasted.

Can't think of a deserving keeper
Rob Jones
Hansen
Hyppia
Alan Kennedy
Carra her

Barnes
Molby
Whelan

Dalglish
Fowler

I think it's a bit unfair to lump Alonso in with guys like Torres or Reina - we made the first move and hawked him around Europe for an entire summer. When he decided to leave the next year his exit was pretty dignified in the end, wasn't it?

Kuyt's a great shout.

As much as I loved him, I don't think Fowler can be considered for this...whatever he was doing on the field I don't think he was always the best presence off it.

Aldo is my first choice, purely because I met him randomly in a hotel I was staying at in Dublin, and he struck up a conversation with me and the family like he'd known us all our lives. Really nice guy.

Didi is also a good shout.

When I did the Alan Kennedy tour in the mid-90s, we met most of the players at Melwood and some of them were really ace, especially with the kids. A couple of them, Rushie and Digger, have already been mentioned. Jamie Redknapp was great as well, but the surprise packet - to me at any rate, though others have said on here that he's a decent sort - was Razor Ruddock.

Steve Staunton, Gary mac...

I can't think of anyone else!

Ryan Babel always seems to say good things about the club since he left.

I think a rebels team with the likes of Torres, Suarez, Sterling, Masher, Reina, Ince, McMoneyman, Owen would beat your sorry ass nice guys team handsdown....

Just havent worked out who will be the defenders in the rebel team though...but who cares the wimps in the other side will never win the ball off them.....

That assumes the rebels will actually get out on the field to play the game instead of bitching like fury in the dressing-room.

When push came to shove, Stevie couldn't leave when richer clubs and fatter paychecks came calling... Why are you lumping him in the with the bad guys?

If you're going with nice lads who did their best and never made a fuss, no matter what, wouldn't Brad Jones be our keeper?

Jones

Hansen
Carra

Johnston
Molby

The King

I always liked Smicer and Berger, though Vlad was only useful in home games. Garcia was another favourite. Maybe i favour skillful players. Then again i thought Burrows was a good player , who seemed to overcome skill with effort and endeavour. Gutted when Souness swapped him and marsh for the shitbrick Julian Dicks.

Yeah I thought that. He always seemed sound. Loved the club (and the captain judging by their smooch) It was an amicable end I thought. Shame though as I love the guy.
