So, I think most of you know my idea about allowing people to vote against a party as well as voting for.
Personally, and without trying to sound too big-headed about this (but probably failing), I think it's a brilliant idea - one that allows everyone to have a say, even the most hardened of cynics. It's non-partisan, in that it should appeal to people from across the spectrum, as it would increase voter engagement and let everyone (apart from the truly apathetic) to make their voice heard.
Well anyway, I've set up an e-petition. It needs 100k votes by the end of March to force a debate in Parliament.
I need two things:
a) please sign it and promote it
http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/71668
b) advice on how to promote it to people to try and attract more signatures
It's such a simple idea, yet I think it could actually offer the chance of genuine change
