...I seriously do. I'm really really worried about the direction our club is going in. We've owners who haven't got a pot to piss in and clearly don't give a fuck about Liverpool Football Club apart from what they can rape and pillage out of us. We've a manager who cannot motivate his players and plays constantly boring unattractive and negative football even when we've really got fuck all else to lose and we may as well go for the win. We've players who look disinterested, lethargic, passionless and fed up. We're heavily in debt that's restricting our ability to operate as a top tier club. We've a severe lack of worthwhile interested investors (WHY is that?). The new home kit (if it's real) looks shite. We've no chance at a CL spot. If we get through to the shitty Europa losers cup it means we've got a season of shitty Sunday/Monday and Thursday night games to look forward to. Oh and Channel fucking Five. Season tickets will probably go up again. The stadium is nowhere to be seen. We're going to start losing our best players before long. I'm starting to go into denial - I'm trying not to think about LFC at all. It may all go away.

But it won't the reality is fucking glaring. We're so fucked and heading in a direction none of us want but feel powerless to do anything about ? What do we do ? Boycott games and fuck off our support for the club? We can't do that. The only way the owners will get hit is if we start hitting the cunts in the pockets - which again is hard to do as it detriments the club as a whole.

So - go on, brighten my day up. Give me some much needed LFC light at the end of this long narrow and gloomy tunnel. I need it. Desperately.

If anyone can read through that and still come up with something positive to cheer you up, they're a better man than me

You could join SOS. Did that work?

I'll give it a shoot

1. we are about to get the debt reduced by 100m, alright potentially by people worse than the yanks but reducing the debt will make us a more attractive propersition for a full takeover and that is ultimately what the yanks want.

2. the 100m and new partner would almost certainly see us secure the loan for the stadium

3. we have a lot of dross but we also have world class talent down the spine of the team

4. not long before this debacle of a season draws to a close.

5. erm, spring is finally here...

Reina
Carra
Agger
Johnson
Masher
Aquilani
Gerrard
Torres

Seemingly none of our key-players will abandon ship even if we were to lose out on fourth so I reckon we've got the needed core of quality players to compete.

Whether the likes of Maxi, Lucas, Insua, Skrtel, Benayoun, Babel, Ngog and Kuyt are all going to be here next Season I don't know but for once with a lucky hand on the transfer-market who knows we might even be competing with the best next Season again.

Bare in mind that apart from Arsenal we've got the youngest team out in the top-flight and they'll all be a year older next Season. Even learned a few things along the road too perhaps.

Our Reserves are looking better than ever and I'm still postitive we'll see one or two youngsters steal some of the headlines next Season.

We are still Liverpool FC one of the most famous and beloved clubs in the world. There'll be shitloads of potential investors to take over if the current owners aren't going to put action behind their words.

We may not be re-inventing football just yet but the sky is still blue and the heart is still red.

I'd take issue with those highlighted bits, certainly the second one - I don't think our best players are about to leave. The point about investors is admittedly less clear, but we keep seeing mention in the press of other interested parties sniffing around (the Rhone Group are hardly the first) so I'm not giving up on this either. A respected independent source (Forbes.com) rates LFC as being one of only five football clubs worth over a billion pounds, and their reputation depends on not being wrong about things like that. The night is darkest just before the dawn.

I'm not giving up either JJ. Nothing wil stop me going to watch Liverpool ever. It's just we seem in a state of decline at the moment with no positives coming out of the ether. It's a complete headfuck at the moment.

Hmmm things are extremelly bad!!!

We got back from the grave in Istanbul because we believed it was possible. We created a magic moment built on faith... That faith is gone from this club and all the supporters...

Ferguson is 69 this year and can't go on forever. I doubt the next manager will be as successful.

basically what worries me is what the owners will do in the summer. if we do finish outside the top 4 (as looks likely) what path will they take, will they;

a) do nothing, carry on as usual with no more funds forthcoming because of the hit of no CL money?

b) pull out all the stops to make sure we compete for the top prizes again?

It will get a whole lot worse before it gets better.
That post will look positive compared to the ones we see in the Summer.

Pepe Reina loves us and has proved it by signing a new contract. He's the best goalkeeper in the world, a future Liverpool captain (IMO), a brilliant character, and he could easily have abandoned our 'sinking ship' to go to Chelsea or Barca or whoever. He chose not to. Why? Because he understands what the club means and how much the supporters care, and he believes we will come out of the dark period we're in at the moment.

If Pepe believes, so should we.

Amen, brother.

One crucial thing about the Istanbul miracle is that it started from small beginnings. I'll bet few - if any - of us had that faith at half-time. Even when Stevie's goal went in, all I thought it was going to be was a small sticking-plaster on our damaged pride. Not until Vlad scored did I begin daring to hope for better. We need to remember that now, and take things one step at a time.

True. But we've also Arsenal, Chelsea and an improving City, Spurs and Villa to contend with. None of which we can compete with financially.

you'd hope the owners aren't stupid and realise if they want to make a return on their investment they will need to get the ball rolling on the stadium otherwise what was the point of buying us?

I think it's hughely dependant on what happens with the owners.

Not playing CL footie for a year is something we can live with, as can our players. But we need to show the the rest of the footballing world that we mean business. And that can only happen if we get some quality players in and change our manager.

To do that, we are dependant on solving the crisis that is occuring in our board room.

We'll always be better than Everton.

Maybe in a couple of months time we'll have new owners.

No European footy means that we can focus 100% on the league.

We still have quite a few world class players already at our club.

Even if G&H remain here, It's been proven before on countless occasions that future stars can be found for next to no cost (granted not by our current manager). WE ARE DUE A COUPLE.

You'd hope but they rely on other people lending them the money to do it. And there seems reluctance from lenders to do that given our current state of affairs.

Worrying bit from the Guardians sportssection about interest from potential suitors if we can't get into the CL.

I just don't hope that some good investors and potential owners disapears if we can't qualify.

I would have thought it might work both ways, and that maybe the price could be even more reduced if we don't make the top 4.
