There was value for money to be found. We just didn't.
Maxi for free helps though.
This is the biggest summer in our history. We need at least 2 world class players. We need a new LB, CB, LM, CF minimum and we have very little to come in from sales. Maybe 15m for riera and babel.
It's gonna be wheeler dealer city.

Why is it 'The biggest summer in our history'? What's so big about this summer more than any other?
[/quote]I would have thought that would be obvious KK.
Our last two summers have allowed United and Chelsea to pull away from us as a big two, Arsenal to overtake us into a clear third place and most alarmingly allowed Tottenham, Aston Villa and ManchesterCity to catch and almost pass us.
We have owners interested only in skimming profits, a manager lost at sea, players grumbling and talking about leaving, fans talking about not renewing their season tickets and a club that is currently JUST ahead of Birmingham in the table but not in the ability to spend stakes.
We need a summer of brilliant spending, perfect luck and probably major change.
That's why it's the biggest summer ever. Get this wrong and the top 6 will be gone for the foreseeable future.
