I haven't seen a reference to black kids specifically. It was a kid of Moroccan background who raised the matter but I don't know of allegations that the whole group were of different ethnic origin.
What might be clouding the issue is the fact that Beardsley did/does apparently single individual youth players out for criticism in front of the whole group when he reckons they're not putting a shift in. Wonder if he was on this kid's case in such a way, and chappie decided to cry "wacism".

Yeah - the racist angle is potentially flimsy and you're right, the inference is that Beardsley isn't particularly sensitive when dealing with kids not being perfect.
It seems as much about personality clashes - Beardsley never really can across as someone with a sparkling personality.
Sign of the times- every comment can be misconstrued and anything other than positive reinforcement is bullying.
True story - I was chatting to a secondary school teacher the other day. She said one of her colleagues got reported for 'bullying' because he kept pointing out and correcting some kid's spelling mistakes. The term has been stretched more than Nicole Kidman's face.

Wasn't there similar allegations about Beardsley and co from youth players a few years ago or is this the same lot?
I don't think it's that easy to cry racism and and not something some does unless they really feel they have to. It's much easier to take it, ignore it and move on. Good on the lads to report it and to try and change something for the future generation especially with some this currently lot including Rix at Chelsea. I think it's bloody brave.
You make it sound like it's something common to do when things aren't going your way.

That seems an oddly disjointed, relentless and actually mentally ill way to address a room that you've just walked into.

First question: no, and if I've missed something then fair enough, but the "Grauniad" is the one paper I'd expect more than any other to zero straight in on such previous allegations if they'd been substantiated, and there wasn't so much as a syllable about them in its latest article.
I've re-read my posts and I don't accept for one minute that I'm "making it sound like it's something common to do". All I'm doing is raising it as a possibility (a) because it is one, tho' rarely mentioned as such, and (b) because I've actually had experience of this kind of thing myself. In my working days helping to run special education for the local authority in my county I was subjected once or twice to such tactics, as were colleagues of mine, when one or two families of ethnic minority background weren't happy with decisions we made and tried to play the race card to get around them.
So "good on the lads" if it actually happened, but very definitely not if it didn't. Not all these allegations are made in good faith. That's the sad fact of the matter.

I'm not sure of your personal experience but seen a big of abuse like this with coaches and know lads who have been of decent quality and didn't really want to progress with football due to some of the abuse by coaches and opposition teams.
Regarding the term race card, in my own experience it's a cynical way of looking at it and easy to pint point of someone if saying it when race is possibly a factor. I don't know any who would go say something is racist unless they were ready for the stigma that comes with making such a claim but certainly not a trivial matter.
I don't know it's true or not and not do you, only those involved really know and don't see how other experiences have any real relevance to this.
So does this mean no one can say something is racist now without being told they are playing the race card?

It's brave to report something when it happened. It's not brave to report something when it didn't happen. It's vital that both of these things are noted, and the subsequent investigation is rigorous and objective. Otherwise the whole thing becomes hopelessly incoherent and open to all kinds of incompetence and corruption.
You start off describing your experience but then go on to say that you "don't see how other experiences have any real relevance to this", which seems a bit confused.
As far as that final question of yours is concerned, if allegations are made they should be investigated. If there's truth in them, action should be taken. If there isn't, those who make them should themselves be punished. There should be no automatic assumption that they either are or are not playing the race card.
My point was each allegation is diff.
But do find your point about race card confused, there is no automatic assumption either way.
Agreed with allegation should be investigated and no one should be deterred from making one as long as it's true ofcourse. Let's move on till there's some proper investigation and facts.

If the guys got enough power and your career in the industry is over if you challenge it then well maybe are left uncomfortable and sad but stay quiet. seems loads of people knew the Weinstein stuff even if he didn't walk into a room grabbing T&A but no-body said anything.
Plenty of cases where the bloke with the power gets away with it even though people 'know'
