Incredible how you can..

See right through me..

Gini playing ghost like again..

I just don't see the point in what he adds to our midfield away from home..

Ox would be a better option..

He takes about 5 touches in the final 3rd before releasing the ball sideways. That is not the decision making of a good midfielder at all.

He's probably lucky Can is going and Lallana is constantly broken otherwise he's be prime suspect in the first out thread.

And he's way, way worse than Hendo. He actively avoids getting involved in most games then occasionally has a boss performance. Bizarrely it's even worse than being just shit all the time.

He's capable which makes his taciturn performances so annoying. He looked great at Newcastle which begs the question, is it the role he's asked to play?

Maybe he just doesn't suit Klopp's system. Either way, he should be moved on as soon as we find a viable replacement.

None of our midfielders were exactly fantastic today, but I thought he was OK.
To be honest I barely noticed him, but when I did he shit out of tackles and didn't attempt to jump for the ball.

In a game where the midfield was criminally outmuscled, he needed to step up

I think in the right midfield Gini would be really effective - quietly efficient but invaluable. But our various midfields don't suit him. He's a link man, surrounded by link men. Bring in Keita and another dynamic midfielder next season and Gini could be the oil that keeps the machine moving smoothly. But he's not doing anything that well this season.

I see Keita as his replacement/upgrade to be honest. Wjinaldum doesnt work hard enough or impose himself physically. In a midfield 3 with 2 runners and 1 holding I dont think hes getting the holding job, you cannot disappear from games and bottle out of challenges in that position. He either plays as a box to box midfielder or not at all.

I think he is going to be a vital cog against City. He normally plays well against top teams.
