Sterling at least has been relatively creative and that was a lovely ball to Suarez for the late chance. Moses has been fucking awful.
It's the right thing to do - Agger was average, at best, against Everton and Skrtel has been the better, healthier defender this year. I can only hope Barca are desperate enough for a Cb and offer us 15-20 million ... It's the right time to sell.

We have a big hole on the centre of midfield again, need Coutinho in there to get hold of the ball and get the ball to Suarez in and around their 18 yard box, shouldn't need Suarez coming so deep, Sterling and Moses i don't expect anything from, hope yes, expect no.

I am angry. Admitted. But just as much with the fact we are running out of footballers. Alberto should be one and Coutinho defo is but they are benched. And as we bought defenders for around £24M and none of them are playing perhaps we should have spend elsewhere?? Watch Arsenal from yesterday and then us. Roy is pushing it og course but is this Rodgers style at Swansea? It is awful football either way.

On the match, I missed most of the 1st half but from the little I saw Sterling seems to have been playing with his head up and a lot more intelligence. Is that true for the whole game so far?
Yet again, although the attackers have been utter shite (totally unable to retain possession and Sterling can only beat players but hit and run .. and then not often) the issue is, bar Gerrard, we have no-one with a single atom of creative ability in their bodies. Henderson is so slow on the ball it's like watching monkeys pick fleas, Flanno and Johnson are adding nothing to the attack by playing so deep Lucas is having a mare.
This is about right for me. Not a remarkable first half. I think Sterling is trying hard, but he just doesn't make smart decisions. Still, I'd rather a trier than someone like Moses, who just tried to cruise through like he thought was too good for the opponents. Didn't bother to press or break into a sweat..
Again, we need to stop the silly pointless flicks and passing around the back for 15 minutes. Oh, and please take Moses off.
We need to add creativity to this team and anyone bar Rodgers could see that that team doesn't have enough of it. Countinho, Alberto or Allen couls all have added that.

I wish we'd play according to Rodgers' principles. Pass the ball quickly to feet. But we keep reaching the halfway line, slowly, and then Gerrard bypasses a short pass and tries instead to find someone about 20 yards away who has two players near him. We might as well have Pascoe borrow the fourth official's electronic sign and hold it up to say 'We will now pass it to Suarez,' 'We will now try to find Sterling' etc etc. It's so obvious.
Heh, I am, but what we're seeing is not flair play. We're seeing percentage football in the form of flicks - ill-judged passes that the recipient can't control so he flicks on in the hope that it'll reach a teammate.

Agree with all of that - positives though - at least we are not losing and we cannot play much worse. Our midfield is so rank - surely BR can see we need to improve the personel

I can see the point of Sterling coming on late and running at tiring defences - that makes sense.
Moses is horribly out of form.
Henderson has no business playing so far forward - his standard "run about a lot" performance can only ever have limited impact.
Suarez is playing line a man suffering depression at the creative players beside him.
Coutinho please - might even be worth sticking Alberto on.

KHL...Swansea under Rodgers had some equally shite or worse games where style or anything resembling an idea on how to play a game of football was non-existent .....you are just over reacting...calm down.
Its like I've always said Henderson is competing with Gerrard for a spot in the team. He's a fine utility player but doesn't offer us enough in attack.
I really hope he proves me wrong in the 2nd half
