Never started a (pre) match thread before. Got a semi. Anyone want to discuss either? I can do Skype.
Team?
Arseface.
TAA. Gomez. Matip. Robertson.
Ox. Hendo.
Salah. Cuntinho. Wijnaldum.
Solanke.
For-me-no is in my fantasy team but I'd rather exclude him.
That striker they have has danger written all over him. It's gonna be open as fuck if both sides play the way they usually do.
Personally I think we may see Klopp go the other way & concentrate on keeping us tight like at the end of last season now, & this would be the ideal game to do it as Huddersfield struggle against pace so we'll keep them stretched at the other end easily.
Salah should have a field day, & I wouldnt be surprised if we see Moreno line up for this with his pace down the wing in mind.
That said, they put decent balls in the box & their forwards have found some confidence, hence me thinking it could be very open & end to end action.

If the game against manure is anything to go by they are going to sit back and keep it tight. They only had 29% possession against manure. It's gonna be open as fuck if both sides play the way they usually do.

See i'm thinking the opposite. I don't see him being knee-jerk at all.Not sure that will be the team, but I do suspect that Klopp will jettison his 'collective responsibility/ we are all responsible' horse-shit and make a LOT of knee-jerk reactionary changes, so I would not be at all surprised to see some of the following start:
Chamberpot
Gomez at CB
Robertson
Maybe even the German clown in goal
Sturridge
Solanke
Can't see Lovren being in the team, but who fucking knows with Klopp?
Would be harsh to drop Moreno, as he was the only defender who was OK against Spurs

mignolet, moreno, matip, gomez, TAA, hendo, wijnaldum, can, coutinho, firmino, salah.
That's not the team i would pick personally as i think Grujic deserves a chance.

This is what I wanna see
-----------------Karius-----------------
------Gomez--Matip--Klavan------- (klavan because no other CBs after Lovren is removed...)
TAA------------------------------Moreno
-------------Can---Hendo---------------
Salah--------Firmino--------Coutinho
I expect to see:
--------------Mignolet------------------
TAA---Gomez---Matip---Moreno
---------Can------Hendo------------
Salah------Wijnaldum----Coutinho (or Ox if Gini is unfit)
--------------Firmino-----------------
Yeah, but when they got the ball they attacked in numbers, despite the possession stats they created a lot of chances, hence why I think it could be end to end.If the game against manure is anything to go by they are going to sit back and keep it tight. They only had 29% possession against manure.
Wagner’s ideal football philosophy is similar to Klopp’s but that’s not what he’s been doing. His team sits deep against strong teams, trying to nick goals from set plays and the odd counter attacks.Wagner's Klopp's best friend and sets his team up to play similarly like Klopp too.
So expect gegenpressing vs gegenpressing and possibly lots of goals.
