cole

jove

roy's cloggers who are big money but contribute next to nothing. how much money do you think they will raise when we fuck them out of the club?

I'm not ready to write Cole off yet, we need to give him a run of games. Has he been injured? Otherwise it means Kenny doesn't fancy him either I guess as he hasn't featured under him at all

I guess in the same way cisse was gh's parting give. anyway, he is a waste of space.

conservative estimates

cole - 6m
cuntchesky - 2m
poulsen - 2m
jove - 5m

We'll be lucky to get £6/7m for the lot of them that's if we can actually shift them

Of course he's been injured. Which no one could have predicted. He was an awful purchase and I imagine we'll move him on in the summer.

I would love a last minute 'arry wheeling and dealing for Cole.
harry - haaw much fa the lad Cole
LFC - £50million!...............................ono

Given his wages I doubt we'll get a lot for Cole. Its a shame about him as he's a lot better than those other three cunts. Would be nice to see him get another chance.

Getting them off the wage bill is important, add n'gog to the list though he is ok-ish I would rather he left and the space he occupies on the bench given to someone even younger. That's a large large chunk of money taken off the weekly wage bill nearly a 200k I imagine not Inc cole

i'd imagine we'd get around £3m for poulsen and konchesky, and around £8-10m for cole and jovanovic.

i'd be amazed if there isn't someone out there willing to pay £5m for cole. an aston villa, a newcastle, a sunderland, someone like that. if he goes, that is, which looks very likely if he isn't injured.

Cole will go on a free cos of his astronomical wages, as will Joanovic.

Poolsen will probably go for free too thinking about it.

Any clubs interested in their services will probably not be those 'big' ones around, we will be lucky to get anywhere near the 8m for the listed quartet. I would take comfort from the fact that we will be saving 2-3m a yr from the wage bill, per player though.

Exactly. But the problem is, will they want to leave?

The problem is everyone knows we are desperate to get rid so we'd probably end up paying part of their wages or reducing the transfer fees. That said desperate teams make desperate signings. If there was any truth in the Wolfsburg offer for Jova then anything is possible I guess. I'd be very happy to take anything between £5-10m for the lot though.

who says we're desperate to get rid?

and you'd happily take £5m for cole, jovanovic, poulsen and konchesky? christ, i'm glad you're not part of our negotiating team. we'd have got about £20m and kerry dixon for torres.

Guess that might've been the reason behind why Jovanovic's still here. I won't be surprised if we subsidize/continue paying part of their wages, in the event that they move on (with a 'smaller' contract), quite a common practice in recent yrs by clubs.

Cole will go to Spurs for 3-5 mill
Poulsen will go for 1 mill
Konchesky will go for 1-2 mill
Jove will go for 3-5 mill

Well aren't we? I mean those 4 hardly ever play so it doesn't really take a genius to work out they are not wanted.

I don't see the transfer fees and especially a difference of a couple of million the biggest issue here. These guys are on average of what, £65k/week? That's £13,5m in wages per year. So even if £5m is under their market value if we got rid of their wages in full I'd be happy. If we start holding out for the best possible price we might be left stuck with one or two of them for one more season and what's gained in better transfer fees is already lost and more.

This is what we can realistically expect. It is also very likely that we will only manage to ship out two out of the four in the summer. If we ship out three, i'll pop open the champagne.

I still think Cole can be a very good player for us.

we don't have the depth of squad to just let 4 senior players leave with no replacements, though, so we'll never save all those wages.

i suppose i can see that £5m or so difference in valuation is not very material, but i thought we were talking about what we could get for them, and just on that narrow point i think £5m is a big undervaluation. for example, we got around £7m for nemeth, leto and san jose, who played about 3 first team games between them.

I would have no problem with selling those 4 players replacing them with ONE first teamer and then using youth to fill the gaps of the other three

cole - patcheco
jove - new winger
poulsen - jonjo
cuntchesky - wilson

if we'd sold all four in the jan window and brought in young, the first team would be stronger and the depth of the sqaud no worse off.

of course the depth of the squad would be worse! four players gone, one in, that's less depth by definition!
