Worse than this.............

depressed-man.jpg

Anxious, shit and nervous sums up my emotions, although I'm slightly excited by what a new manager could offer.

First one. I am really worried, nervous and to be honest, scared.

This season has been a disaster, and I see it only getting worse over the next year.

The last one. I'm sooo just fucking bored and fed up of it. Rafa has singlehandedly made me bored of football.
I'll always support Liverpool, even if we're tenth each year.

You need a 'so confused I no longer have any emotions and am just numbly waiting to see what happens to us' option.

I desperately need to see some change at the club. Like Andy, I'm bored to fuck with Rafa, his excuses, his media games, his team selections, his transfer dealings and his shit goatee.

If we get rid of him and the Yanks I'll start to become a bit more hopeful and positive about the future of the club

I can't remember the timing, but is there a correlation between him growing his goatee and turning ridiculous?

This deserves a thread...

Hopelessly depressed watching how woeful we are. Pissed off that the American owners are still around. They should be tarred and feathered along with Rafa. We need a change of ownership and coach. Rafa has run his course!

I think this will happen and our darkest days of recent times are behind us

It's so depressing and worrying. I find it hard these days to bother watching us, and even coming on here is a bit of a chore these days. I haven't been on here all day and the first thread I see is Brendan's Armageddon thread. It makes me not want to be on here at all. I can't see it getting better either any time soon.

Terrified about the future, and careful not to express my true feelings here which would get me banned.

 Truth.

I'm actually optimistic at some level.

I truly believe that the team Rafa has had over the last 3 years would have genuinely challenged or won the title if playing under a very good manager who understood the local game. We get that manager in for next season and our results as well as our play will improve measurably.

I will be sorry for our European form which I genuinely believe will deteriorate with out Rafa at the helm but it's the league I want just now and I'm prepared to let the new manager "learn" in Europe.

Financially I am convinced that most people are underestimating the impact of the GFC and that while we're by no means out of it now the upward climb is well underway. The result will be real suitors who can actually make something happen for the club.

It may well get worse before it gets better - I hope not and hard to imagine it getting much worse but I do believe that we've suffered from a combination of factors which can all be faced down in the next few months.

Fucked off that for the most part people blame Rafa for the utter shambles that our club is in.

Actually I'd lay plenty of money on the fact that there are far more people out there and on this forum who place all the blame at the owners feet compared to those who place all the blame at the feet of our manager.

I think Rafa has had plenty of time to prove he can make something happen but his history at the club shows that the team doesn't perform when the opportunity is there - only when it's been lost.

The owners have made some stupid decisions and the last 15 months - justifiably or not - they've held back far too much money from the team. But they're not solely to blame - just the easiest targets.

The reality is, of course, that the blame lies with a combination of parties and factors. Like it or not, however, Rafa is well and truly one of them.

- "Rafa may be forced to sell Gerrard & Torres to raise funds..."

- "Just fuck off Rafa"

That's from another thread existing on the main page of this forum mate. It's laughable in it's ridiculousness.

Rafa bears the lion's share of the blame.

His fans can talk about wagebills hashadtoselltobuy beenshaftedbyyanks nomoney motherfuckingsofasandlampshades as much as they like.

No harm mate, but that's naive and misses the point by a mile.

It's like blaming the Titanic for not having enough lifeboats. DON'T HIT THE FUCKING ICEBERG IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I don't think he bares the lion's share of the blame, Avvy.

The last two transfer windows he's not had nearly the funds that he should have had. Whether the owners cop that or partly deflect to financial crisis is hard to say.

He's also had to deal with a terrible injury situation this season, some of the team not performing at all and, of course, the departure of Xabi.

Having said that he has been his own worst enemy on many occasions.

He was a major factor in Alonso leaving, though, Wizardry.

It's not all Benitez's fault, though, of course. He's just another part of everything that has gone wrong with us recently.

A player he got the best out of and sold for 3 times what he originally paid too.

Yeah that's also true. But the player he replaced him with hasn't lived up to his standards. Be it through, injury, tactics, lack of game time etc. Either way, we would have been better off with Alonso this season.
