So early signs last night were encouraging in respect of our midfield movement. Cole SG and Lucas were forming triangles all night, usually with Cole at the point, but with a nice fluidity in that any of them could try and get behind their lines and would be covered. Lucas (I don't like to bash him , but...) was the weakest link, but with players of the quality of Cole and SG that's pretty much to be expected.
I know it is only one game with a full strength line up but there were real signs that Hodgson will release the Kracken a bit more than Rafa, and allow us a bit more unpredictable movement in shifting the ball between midfield and attack. Cole and SG are obvious lynch-pins, but Aqua will also benefit when he plays.
