Tomorrow is the 21st anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster where, as you all know, we tragically lost 96 of our brothers and sisters. As a mark of respect I will be taking the forum down for 2 minutes at 3.06 pm. GMT. I hope this is OK with all of you

It would be nice if as much as possible all the posts were a bit more respectful etc tomorrow too. There's plenty of time for people to slate Rafa and what not, but tomorrow shouldn't be that day.

This date is always a hard day for all of us, but I cannot help but feel more down than usual.

Practically every is a disappointing year for us, save 2005; and the 'next year' mantra often feels forced.But there WAS always next year...I do think our title tilt last season was a bit flattering, but I was still bitterlydisappointed to not catch the Mancs.What would have it been like if we'd done it?

If we'd taken 19?

In 2009.

The 20th anniversary.

The thought of us doing it iN THAT year...for THEM...well, it would have been something...And failing as usual, well, it was hard...but there was always next year...and I did feel that for once...there really was.We'd come close, and the Mancs were losing Gayface..Anyway, I'm no going to dwell too much on whats happened; I just want to say that I hope we survive tis..and to everyone who's feeling as down as they are...bearing in mind what day today is..and bearing in mind that we've had a terrible year...remember that we've had far far far darker days than 2010.

We came through that and we'll come through this; at the end of it all...we're the ones who made LFC..and we'll keep the flames burning as long as we have to.

So although it's hard, we'll never walk alone.

My thoughts go out to the 96.

I'm sure the past 20 years have been a bit shitty for them watching what's happened..but they know as do we, that the club is bigger than any one person, bigger than the manager and the players...and that we'll take 19.

Depends what kind of tosser is on your friends list tbh. I set a status not too disimilar and my friends (though I am careful of who to add, and with good reason) have given it the respect it deserves.
 
Its usually not a friend of yours tho who'll do it; it'll be some Manc friend of your friend who'll post some shit after your friend has shared your FB link or summat like that.
